Modena Rivers Broadway to Bust Shcherbakov

Level 20 : Blinds 75,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Kirill Shcherbakov
Kirill Shcherbakov

Kirill Shcherbakov shoved for 1,450,000 from the hijack and Italo Modena made the call from the cutoff.

Kirill Shcherbakov: AQ All in
Italo Modena: A10

Shcherbakov had Modena dominated and was in great shape to double-up. The J56 flop didn't change anything, but the K turn gave each player a straight draw. The river was the Q to improve Modena to a straight and he eliminated Shcherbakov from the tournament.

Daniel Heredi
Daniel Heredi

Sam Trickett opened the button with A8 to 250,000 and Anatoly Zlotnikov three-bet the small blind to 875,000. Daniel Heredi then four-bet to 1,600,000 from the big blind, which got Trickett to quickly fold. Zlotnikov then shoved for 3,400,000, and Heredi snap-called.

Anatoly Zlotnikov: KK All in
Daniel Heredi: 1010

Zlotnikov was ahead with his Cowboys but fell behind on the 6103 flop as Heredi made a set. No kings appeared on the 33 runout, and Zlotnikov was sent to the rail.

Lupuleac Hits the Rail

Level 19 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Alexandru Lupuleac
Alexandru Lupuleac

Alexandru Lupuleac got his last 1,450,000 into the middle preflop from the cutoff, after Natan Chauskin min-raised from middle position. After the rest of the table folded, Chauskin called and the cards were revealed.

Alexandru Lupuleac: A10 All in
Natan Chauskin: KK

Lupuleac needed to find an ace or some diamonds if he was to make his second major final table at the 2025 MPP. The board ran out KJ475 to give Chauskin the best hand with a set of kings, sending Lupuleac to the rail.

State Doubles Early

Level 19 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Adrian State
Adrian State

When it folded to Zorlu Er in the small blind, he raised to roughly 360,000 with just Adrian State to get through in the big blind. State made the call with only around 240,000 remaining in his stack.

Both players checked the 926 flop to see the A roll off on the turn. Er bet enough to put State all in, and State went into the tank. After burning through around five of his time bank cards, State made the call.

Adrian State: K8 All in
Zorlu Er: J5

State was ahead with king-high and just had to fade a jack or five that wasn't a diamond to double. The river was the 5 to give State a flush, and he earned the much-needed double-up on one of the first hands on Day 3.
