Castro Spikes the River to Bust Zawadzki

Marcin Zawadzki had his last 100,000 in the middle on a flop of 5♦6♥10♦ and was up against Raffaele Castro.

According to Castro, he opened to 10,000 in the hijack. Zawadzki three-bet to 35,000 on the button, and Castro called. Castro then check-jammed the flop and Zawadzki called for his last chips.

Zawadzki was ahead with his pair of queens, while Castro had the nut flush draw. The K♥ turn was no help to Castro, but he hit the A♠ on the river to win the pot and send Zawadzki to the rail.

Burlacu checked the 5♠ turn, making the call after Samsa fired a bet of 65,000.

The 4♥ river saw both players check it down. Burlacu showed K♦Q♣ for top pair with a queen, while Samsa could only turn up K♥J♦ for an inferior kicker.

Around 150,000 was already in the pot as four players saw a flop of 8♦8♣7♦. Vedat Yilmaz then bet 90,000 from early position, Maher Achour called in the hijack, while Harout Ghazarian and Hady El Asmar folded the button and big blind, respectively.

The turn was the 2♣ and Yilmaz bet another 90,000. Achour again called and the 7♥ fell on the river. Yilmaz then bet 90,000 for a third time.

Achour took his time before putting in the chips to call and Yilmaz tapped the felt, tossing 10♥9♠ into the muck. Achour turned over A♦6♣ for ace-high as he took down the massive pot.

"I'm going to lose. I never win with them," Nader said upon revealing his aces. The flop came Q♣9♥5♠, while Hajjar picked up a straight draw on the 10♠ turn.

The river, though, was the 3♥ and Nader held on to double up.

"You can feel his heart go boom, boom," tablemate Recep Aydemir said, placing his hand over Nader's chest.

A player in the big blind bet 30,000 on a flop of K♣7♣4♠ and Fredrico Senno called in middle position.

The turn was the 3♥ and the big blind bet another 75,000. Senno then raised to 150,000 and could barely finish putting the chips in the middle before his opponent moved all in for 215,000.

Senno stood up from his seat and studied the board for a minute before calling. The big blind then showed K♥7♠ for two pair.

"Give me a six or a five," Senno said, showing 6♦6♣. He got his wish as the 5♥ fell on the river to give him a straight, sending his opponent off to the rail.

"How come when I asked for a five they didn't give it to me," tablemate Maroun Jazzar said.

"First time I've asked for a card on the river," Senno replied.

At another table, Rachid El Yaacoubi moved all in for his last 95,000 with A♥K♦ but Jose Luis Criado woke up with K♥K♠ in the big blind. No ace arrived on the board and El Yaacoubi was sent to the rail.
