Loire Turns Trips, Gets Paid

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

A player opened to 10,000 from middle position and was called by Julien Loire on the button.

Both players checked through the {k-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flop to the {3-Spades} turn at which point the middle position player checked for a second time. Loire tossed a single T-25,000 into the middle, which was about a pot sized bet. His opponent made the call to see a river.

The {7-Hearts} river completed the board and saw the middle position player check once again. Loire made it 75,000 to go and almost instantaneously his opponent called. The Frenchman turned over {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for turned trips with the nut kicker to take down a large pot as the middle position player mucked.

Another Three-Way All In as Sokol Scoops

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Just as Tim Schmitt was collecting his pot, another three-way all in was developing on another table.

Kamil Sokol was all in for 150,000 from the big blind and was up against small blind Marwan Salamoun and a player in early position:

Early Position: {a-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Kamil Sokol: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Marwan Salamoun: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Sokol spiked two pair on the {9-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop to further his lead with his king-kicker, while Salamoun was drawing nearly dead heading to the {5-Clubs} turn.

The river came the {q-Clubs} and Sokol scooped the pot, knocking out the early position player and doubling up off Salamoun.

Schmitt Fills Up in Three-Way All In

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Tim Schmitt
Tim Schmitt

Tim Schmitt, Evren Coskun, and Lev Kydatov went to a flop of {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} when Schmidtt, in the big blind, got around 200,000 in the middle and was called by both opponents.

Evren Coskun: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Tim Schmitt: {8-Spades}{6-Clubs}
Lev Kydatov: {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

Coskun had an over pair, Kydatov a flush draw, while Schmitt was ahead with two pair. The {8-Clubs} on the turn improved him to a full house and left Kydatov drawing dead, while Coskun was looking for two outs to stay alive.

The river came the {7-Clubs} and Schmitt scooped the entire pot. He barely had Coskun covered and sent him to the rail, while Kydatov was left on an extreme short stack.

Kydatov Doubles To Stay Alive

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Lev Kydatov found himself all in and at risk from the cutoff against a player in middle position.

Lev Kydatov: {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Middle Position Player: {q-Spades}{8-Spades}

Kydatov would needs his threes to hold to survive and that is exactly what happened after the board ran out {4-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} to keep him in the tournament, albeit with a still short stack.

Fal Check-Raises Turn

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

A player opened to 10,000 from early position and got a single customer in the form of Nikolay Fal in the big blind.

Fal checked to the preflop aggressor on a flop of {2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{3-Hearts} and then called a continuation of 10,000.

The {j-Hearts} turn saw Fal check for a second time before raising to 68,000 after his opponent fired off 22,000. That raise was met by a fold to send the pot over towards Fal.

Held Holds To Double

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

A player opened to 10,000 from middle position and was called by Daniel Rezaei in the cutoff. The button got out of the way before Konstantin Held moved all in for 96,000 out of the small blind. The big blind quickly mucked to send the action back to the middle position player who made the call. Rezaei folded and Held was officially at risk.

Konstantin Held: {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Middle Position Player: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Held was locked in a coinflip with his tournament life on the line. He remained ahead on the {3-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades} flop and {6-Diamonds} turn with the {a-Hearts} river confirming his double up.

State Picks Off a Massive Bluff

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Adrian State
Adrian State

There was already around 200,000 in the middle when Tinay Aksoy and Adrian State went to the river on a board of {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. State, on the button, bet 75,000 before big blind Aksoy raised to 200,000.

State went into the tank for several minutes as he agonized over the decision. The clock was eventually called and had almost reached zero before State threw in the chips to call.

Aksoy could only show {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for a bluff and State turned over {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for a flush as he raked in a massive pot that has made him one of the chip leaders.

Angelic Big Slick Smiles Down On Angelov

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

A player opened to 9,000 from middle position before a player in late position three-bet to 30,000. Action then folded to Boris Angelov in the small blind who cold four-bet to 80,000. The big blind got out of the way as did the original raiser. The late position player pondered for some time before announcing all in. Angelov, with an expression of one who knows they have to call but does not feel great about it, committed the rest of his 390,000 stack to put himself at risk.

Boris Angelov: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Late Position Player: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Though he had not seemed confident before the cards were turned over, Angelov was in a good spot to secure a full double. The {j-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{a-Spades} flop kept him in the lead with the {8-Spades} turn changing nothing. Angelov needed to fade three outs heading to the river and was able to do so as the dealer turned over the {7-Spades} to complete a clean runout for big slick.
