Drawing Seats

The players are drawing seats for the tournament and we'll have the table and seat order for you soon. They announced that 34 players were signed up to play the event and there would be four tables of six and two tables of five. Now, there has been one late registrant of unknown identity to make it 35 entrants for five tables of six and one of five.

Yesterday, Vanessa Selbst took down the 2010 NAPT Mohegan Sun Main Event and you can read all about that here and here. Today, the ante has been upped a tad and the High Roller Bounty Shootout will take place. A whopping $25,000 is required to buy into this event and you can bet your last dollar that the field will be filled with big names and big players.

Ashton Griffin took down the NAPT Venetian High Roller Bounty Shootout back in February (see here) and he'll be in the mix today looking for back-to-back titles.

Plenty of Team PokerStars Pros will be in the mix today along with a bunch of players that won their seat last night in a live satellite. PokerStars guaranteed 10 seats to the High Roller satellite for a buy-in of $5,000. Needing to get 50 players in the satellite to reach the guarantee, only 33 showed up creating an overlay of $85,000. Instead of needing to be one out of five to win a seat, you only had to be one out of three and a third, making for some sick value in the satellite.

Play is set to begin shortly at 12:00 p.m. The format will be the same as it was back at Venetian. Each bounty is worth $5,000 and you must win your table to advance to the final table. Be sure to keep your browser posted right here for all the live coverage!
