Sami Bechahed raised to 100,000 from under the gun with 30,000 behind and Byung Shin called in the cutoff.
On the 9♣8♠2♠ flop, Bechahed bet his last 30,000 and Shin called.

Bechahed was in bad shape but picked up a gutter on the flop. The A♣ on the turn changed nothing and the Q♠ on the river sealed his fate as the defending champion hit the rail.
Peter Mugar opened to 30,000 in early position and Joel Micka three-bet to 85,000 from the hijack. Mugar announced "call" and Micka quickly moved chips in and tabled AxKx as he misheard his opponent. After learning Mugar had only called, he turned his hand back over.
Mugar led out for 50,000 on the flop of 2♦8♥Q♣ and Micka folded. Mugar flashed him a queen.
Brian Frasca bet 40,000 from the cutoff on a flop of 10♦8♣4♠ and Brock Wilson raised to 115,000 in the big blind. Frasca called and the 5♠ fell on the turn.
Wilson checked to Frasca who bet 80,000. Wilson just called this time and the A♣ fell on the river. Frasca then bet 285,000.
Wilson spent a few minutes in the tank before calling as Frasca showed K♦Q♦ for a bluff. Wilson turned over 6♦4♦ for a pair of fours to win the big pot.
"Wow. Change table. I don't want to play at this table anymore," tablemate Masato Yokosawa said.
Brian Yoon raised to 35,000 on the button, Justin Liberto three-bet to 115,000 in the small blind, and Yoon called.
The flop came Q♦10♥9♦ and Liberto led out for 50,000. Yoon called to the 4♣ turn, where Liberto bet another 140,000.
Yoon again called and the 6♦ fell on the river. Liberto then bet 115,000 and Yoon came back with an all-in shove for around 450,000. Liberto quickly folded.
Yang Li raised to 35,000 in the cutoff and Brian Frasca three-bet to 165,000 in the small blind. Li then moved all in for 455,000 and Frasca snap-called.

The flop came A♣9♦7♥ as Li took the lead with a pair of aces. The rest of the board ran out 4♥6♥ and Li doubled up.
Maria Konnikova raised to 40,000 in the cutoff, Nick Marchington moved all in for 375,000 on the button, and Konnikova called.

Marchington had Konnikova dominated with his nines and held on through the Q♣8♥J♠2♦A♥ board to double up.
Justin Lapka opened to 40,000 from the hijack and Nguyen Le raised to approximately 365,000, leaving a single T-5,000 chip behind. Jonathan Tamayo re-shoved from the big blind, covering Lapka who had around 350,000 behind. Lapka folded leaving Le at risk against Tamayo.

Le failed to crack Tamayo's kings on the 5♥3♠4♦3♥Q♦ runout and was sent to the rail while Tamayo scooped a decent pot.
Action folded to Justin Lapka in the small blind who moved all in for 360,000. Victor Paredes quickly called in the big blind.

Paredes hit top pair on the A♥6♥9♠ flop, and Lapka was already drawing dead after the 9♦ turn. The river was the 5♠ and Lapka was sent to the rail.
Brian Yoon opened to 40,000 from the cutoff and David "ODB" Baker called on the button. Justin Liberto three-bet jammed to 160,000 with just 5,000 behind and Yoon folded as Baker took some time to help Liberto see a pay jump.
Liberto tanked before checking on the flop of Q♠9♦Q♥ and Baker bet to put him all in. Liberto called.

Liberto needed to hit an ace or a king and did so as the board finished out 5♦K♠ to bring him a double.
"That's not surprising," commented Jared Jaffe. "The only surprising thing is that he had that many outs."
Frank Brannan raised to 40,000 in early position and Michael Bohmerwald moved all in from the big blind. Brannan awaited the results of an all-in at another table before he called for 350,000.

Brannan had Bohmerwald dominated as the board ran out A♦K♦7♦6♠4♣ to earn him a double up.
The next hand, Curt Kohlberg raised to 45,000 in the cutoff and Bohmerwald reraised to 180,000, leaving only a few chips behind. Kohlberg moved all in and Bohmerwald called off his last chips.
