Chang Lee moved all in for 16,000 from under the gun, Brian Altman reshoved from the hijack, and the rest of the table got out of the way.
Chang Lee: Q♣2♦
Brian Altman: 7♥7♠
Lee joked that he had queens as he just showed the Q♣ first before letting out a laugh and exposing the 2♦. He failed to catch up to Altman's pair on the 10♥3♦6♦A♠10♣ board, and Lee was sent to the rail.
With around 30,000 in the pot on a board of J♠2♠7♣Q♥, Baurzhan Akimov bet 11,000 from the button and Nick Marchington called in the small blind.
The river was the Q♣ and Akimov moved all in. Marchington took a minute before calling for his last 50,000, and Akimov turned over K♥Q♠ for trips.
Marchington instantly tossed his cards into the muck, and the dealer had to retrieve his A♦7♦ after the defending champion had already left the table.
Brandon Wilson was one of the late entries to start the day and was in the big blind and facing a raise from Stephen Song. Wilson defended his big blind and the flop of Q♥8♣5♣ hit the felt.
Wilson check-called a bet of 2,500 from Song and the A♦ landed on the turn. Both players checked and the 7♥ completed the board. Wilson led out with a bet of 5,000 and Song raised to 14,000. Wilson looked him up and Song turned over Q♠Q♣ for a set of queens to scoop the pot.
Morgan Petro raised to 3,500 in the hijack before Nick Petrangelo moved all in from the small blind. Marco Johnson called for his last 35,000 in the big blind, while Petro also called for 30,000.
Morgan Petro: A♥K♥
Marco Johnson: A♣Q♠
Nick Petrangelo: J♦J♥
Johnson went from worst to first on the Q♣8♠Q♥ flop as he hit trips. The turn was the 9♥, but the 10♠ river gave Petrangelo a straight and sent both opponents to an early exit.
Heads-up on a board of 4♠5♦4♥10♠, Daniel Maor bet 2,500 from the big blind before Matthew Sabia raised to 9,500 in the hijack. Maor called and the 2♦ fell on the river.
Sabia then bet 18,000, and Maor again called. Sabia showed K♣Q♣ for king-high, while Maor had J♥5♥ for two pair to win the pot.
In one of the first hands of the day, Aram Zobian opened to 3,000 in middle position and Brian Yoon shipped all in for around 40,000 in the small blind. Bin Weng just called from the big blind and Zobian got out of the way.
Brian Yoon: 6♥6♣
Bin Weng: A♥A♦
The flop came Q♥J♦3♥ and Weng's pocket aces were still way in front. The 9♦ on the turn and the K♣ on the river also provided no help, sending Yoon to the rail early on.
