Assi Gets Value With a King

Level 17 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Adrian Strobel raised from under the gun to 100,000 and Aleksandr Chernikov called from the hijack. Salah Assi also called from the big blind.

They went to a flop of K78, where it checked to Chernikov, who threw out 150,000. Assi called and Strobel folded.

On the 5 turn, both checked to the 2 river, where Assi bet 150,000. Chernikov snap-called and then mucked when Assi showed a pair of kings with K10.

Level 17 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Fahredin Mustafov
Fahredin Mustafov

Three players saw the dealer put out a flop of 510K. Giorgiy Skhulukhiya started with a check from the big blind, and Rahul Byrraju checked out of the hijack. Fahredin Mustafov bet 120,000 from the button, which only Byrraju called.

The A dropped on the turn and Byrraju checked to Mustafov for a second time. Mustafov bet 375,000, which prompted a snap-fold from Byrraju.

Bezhanyan Rivers a Flush; Byrraju Keeps Building

Level 16 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Aram Oganyan opened to 80,000 from the hijack and Aren Bezhanyan called on the button.

The pair checked it down to the river on the K9558 board, where Oganyan fired 80,000. Bezhanyan flicked in the call and showed 77 for a flush, which was good for the pot.

On the same table as Fahredin Mustafov, whose start-of-day chip lead has evaporated as he has around 2,200,000 now. Rahul Byrraju has extended his chip lead to 3,600,000 with four players to go until the money bubble bursts.

Fritz Steals the Pot from Ladva

Level 16 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

From middle position, Ottomar Ladva raised to 80,000, and only Manuel Fritz came along with a call from the small blind.

Fritz check-called a bet of 60,000 from Ladva on the 5A6 flop to see the J roll off the turn, which checked through.

Fritz led out for 280,000 upon seeing the 2 river, and after a few moments, Ladva tossed his cards into the muck.

Tang Admits Punting Hard

Level 16 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Danny Tang
Danny Tang

Danny Tang raised from the button and Leonard Maue three-bet to 240,000 from the small blind. Tang then shoved around 700,000, and Maue quickly called.

"I punted. I punted hard," said Tang before the cards were on their backs.

Danny Tang: A3 All in
Leonard Maue: A9

Tang did pick up some help on the 624 flop with a gutshot, and even more outs arrived in the form of a flush draw on the K turn. However, the A river wasn't what he needed, and Tang exited before the money.

Fritz Stuns the Table With Hero Call

Level 16 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Manuel Fritz
Manuel Fritz

Arriving at the table to see a pot of roughly 850,000 had amassed on a completed board of 3538K. Manuel Fritz was first to act from the big blind and checked the action over to "Dubai Police", who was seated in the cutoff.

"Dubai Police" announced all in for Fritz's stack of 625,000, which caused Fritz to go deep into the tank. Fritz burned through the majority of his time banks, pondering whether to call or fold. After a few glances over at "Dubai Police", who remained stoic the entire time, Fritz made the call for his tournament life.

"Dubai Police" turned over a missed straight draw with 97, and lost the pot to Frtiz's 66 for just a pair of sixes. One of their table mates let out a prolonged "Wow!" after seeing the hand Fritz had picked off his opponent's bluff with.

Kenjic Stacks Stojanovic

Level 16 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Jovan Kenjic opened from middle position and then called the shove of Vlada Stojanovic, who moved all in for around 350,000 from the big blind.

Vlada Stojanovic: AJ All in
Jovan Kenjic: AK

Stojanovic needed a jack, but no longer wanted it after the 104Q flop gave each player a Broadway draw. The 9 added a few more outs for Stojanovic, but the 7 river left him on the rail.

Daniel Dvoress was already seen exiting the tournament area.
