Michael Rothauer

The player in mid-position limped, Michael Rothauer raised to 2,5000 and was called by the players in the cutoff, big blind, and mid-position.

The flop came {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, the players in the big blind and mid-position checked. Rothauer bet 12,000 and the player in the cutoff called while the rest folded.

They both checked through the {Q-Clubs} on the turn. The {J-Spades} on the river completed the board, Rothauer now check-called the 12,600 all-in bet of his opponent.

Michael Rothauer: {K-Spades}{10-Hearts}
The cutoff: {J-Clubs}{10-Spades}

Rothauer had his opponent beat with trip kings on the flop while the other player had rivered a pair of jacks.

Mester Doesn't Mess Around

Level 4 : 300/600, 600 ante
Gerald Mester
Gerald Mester

On Table #41 Gerald Mester was sitting in the under-the-gun position and had limped in. The player on his left did the same. The player in late position raised to 1,600. The cutoff called, so did the players in the blinds. Mester however then decided to shove all in, everyone folded back to the player in the small blind. She decided to call. Mester flipped his cards open but the player in the big blind hadn't acted yet. The dealer quickly tried to cover the exposed cards with his hands but it was too late, everyone had seen Mester's hole cards already. The big blind opted to fold but showed he had {A-Spades}{10-}.

Gerald Mester: {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}
The small blind: {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}

The board ran out {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Spades}{A-Diamonds} - no danger for Mester as he more than doubled.
