Day 2 Completed
Day 2 of the $25,500 MILLIONS World Concludes with 59 Players, Kornuth Near the Top Again

Another day has wrapped up at the Baha Mar Resort in the Bahamas for the 2018 Caribbean Poker Party. The $25,500 MILLIONS World has just concluded and the final 59 players have bagged up their chips. The Day 1a chip leader, Chance Kornuth, had another stellar day on the felt and will carry another big stack into Day 3 as well.
Kornuth bagged a mighty impressive 18,245,000 chips which was good enough for second place on the leaderboard. Kornuth maintained his position near the top of the leaderboard throughout the entire day and even shared some time as the leader. Kornuth had high hopes of bagging up the chip lead again but Steve O'Dwyer ruined that with a late surge.
The day began with 183 players returning from the Day 1 flights but there were many more who were looking to enter the field. Late registration was open through the first four levels and the dinner break and many players took full advantage. The field grew to 394 total entries, just six off of making the $10 million guaranteed prizepool.
Once registration was closed, the chip lead started to change hands multiple times. Matt Berkey (12,100,000) jumped out to a big lead when he picked up pocket aces against partypoker's Isaac Haxton's pocket kings. The two players got all of the chips in the middle on the turn and Berkey held on.
Nick Petrangelo was another player to spend some time in the lead after he eliminated [Removed:150]. Both players held relatively big stacks at the time but it was Petrangelo who came out ahead, sending Iadisernia to the rail.
It didn't take long for O'Dwyer (25,650,000) to make his claim at the top of the leaderboard, picking up multiple sizeable pots, including one against another big stack of Sam Greenwood. O'Dwyer bet all three streets and finally got Greenwood off of his hand on the river. In the last few hands of the night, O'Dwyer took down a couple massive pots against partypoker Joao Simao to claim the end-of-day chip lead.

The partypoker pros to make it through to Day 3 include Jason Koon (6,705,000), Joao Simao (6,470,000), and Isaac Haxton (1,370,000). It wasn't all roses for everyone though as Kristen Bicknell, Fedor Holz, Marcel Luske, Sam Trickett, and Mike Sexton were just a few of the names to be eliminated throughout the day.
A few other big stacks to keep an eye on as the money bubble approaches are Ben Tollerene (17,210,000), Andras Nemeth (14,525,000), Benjamin Pollak (14,510,000), Leon Tosukernik (12,890,000), Manig Loeser (11,915,000), and Roger Teska (11,000,000). It shouldn't take long to reach the money bubble with the tournament being only 20 eliminations away. A min-cash will be worth $60,000, more than double the buy-in, but everyone will have their sights set on the first-place prize of $2,000,000.
Continue to follow along with the PokerNews live reporting team as we bring you more coverage of one of the largest Super High Rollers. The action will get underway at 12 p.m. local time and you won't want to miss any of it.

Cheong Avoids Disaster Against Koon

The last level of play is winding down and players are looking forward to bagging up their chips and returning for Day 3. However, there are still chips up for grabs and it's all about putting yourself in the best position when the money bubble comes along tomorrow. Jason Koon is back on the tournament floor and looking to finish the day off strong.
Joseph Cheong opened to 225,000 in early position and Jason Koon three-bet to 675,000 from the hijack. The action folded back to Cheong who just called to see a flop of . Cheong checked to Koon who bet 400,000 and Cheong called.
The turn brought the and Cheong checked again. The ace slowed down the action as Koon checked it back. The river was the
and both players knuckled the table again. "This is probably a nitty check," Koon said. Cheong turned over
but Koon held
to take down the pot.
As the action is nearing its end for the day, Chance Kornuth has taken over the chip lead again. Kornuth held the lead after Day 1a and has had another successful day on the felt thus far. There are just 68 players remaining with less than 30 minutes to play.

Checking Up on Team partypoker

Joni Jouhkimainen has found himself seated with many of his partypoker teammates throughout much of the day and he is once again seated at the same table as Roberto Romanello. Unlike the other times, Jouhkimainen found somebody else to clash with in the likes of Edward Lin this time. Jouhkimainen opened to 200,000 from the hijack and Lin three-bet to 750,000 in the cutoff. The action folded back to Jouhkimainen who made the call.
The flop fell and Jouhkimainen check-called a bet of 650,000 from Lin before the
landed on the turn. Jouhkimainen checked again and Lin fired another 1,500,000. Jouhkimainen still called and the
completed the board. Jouhkimainen checked, Lin announced all in, and Jouhkimainen snap-called for around 3,600,000. Lin turned over
and Jouhkimainen showed the same hand with
to chop a huge pot.
As for the other partypoker pros, Joao Simao is leading the way with 9,300,000. Jason Koon had a profitable time on the live stream as he is sitting with just under 5,000,000. Roberto Romanello, Isaac Haxton, and Philipp Gruissem are also still holding to short stacks. Unfortunately, Mike Sexton, Sam Trickett, Marcel Luske, and Barny Boatman have all been eliminated.

Last Break of the Night
The final 91 players are about to head on their last 15-minute break of the night. Nick Petrangelo has recently moved into the chip lead with over 13,000,000 chips and partypoker pro Joao Simao is not far behind after having a couple of good levels himself. Simao bagged up one of the biggest stacks in Day 1a of the Main Event and is looking to do the same in the Super High Roller.
Unfortunately for Sam Greenwood, things took a turn for the worst when he collided with Steve O'Dwyer. On a flop of , Sam Greenwood check-called a bet of 210,000 from O'Dwyer and the
landed on the turn. Greenwood quickly checked again and O'Dwyer fired another 560,000. Greenwood still called and the
completed the board. Greenwood checked one more time and O'Dwyer moved all in which prompted a quick fold from Greenwood.
Along with Greenwood, Alex Lynskey and Laszlo Bujtas had a couple of rough levels and have fallen to some of the shorter stacks in the room. They have some work ahead of them if they want to find a bag at the end of the night.
