Bustouts; a Double and a Re-Entry

Level 6 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Chi Zhang
Chi Zhang

Julian Thomas doubled through Dominik Nitsche when his {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} held up against the ace-king of Nitsche on a board of {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}.

Soon after, Daniel Pidun and his brother Thomer were eliminated in quick succession and Sam Trickett ran out of chips, while Adrian Mateos re-entered on his second bullet.

Thomer Pidun raised to 45,000 from the cutoff and called a three-bet by Chi Zhang in the small blind for 118,000 in total. The flop fell {Q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and Zhang continued for 100,000, Pidun called. On the {10-Hearts} turn, Zhang made it 155,000 to go and Pidun tossed in a call. After the {6-Spades} river, Zhang checked and called the shove of Pidun for 612,000.

Pidun rolled over {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} for a full house and Zhang had that beat with {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for the superior full house. Zhang then took on Orpen Kisacikoglu right after, raising to 50,000 on the button and receiving a call. Kisacikoglu ended up paying off a bet of Zhang for 140,000 on the {J-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} river and mucked when the Brit flashed {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades} for a pair of kings.

A quick glance to the next table revealed Daniel Pidun all in for around 340,000 with the {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Antonello Capobianco called with the {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}. The bord came {K-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Pidun's nines were cracked.

O'Dwyer Eliminates Mateos; Tsoukernik Takes Seat

Level 6 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Adrian Mateos couldn't be found at his table anymore but Felipe Ramos was kind enough to relay what had happened:

Steffen Sontheimer had opened, Adrian Mateos shoved all in. Steve O'Dwyer also shoved from the big blind. Sontheimer got out of their way. Mateos had ace-nine but he couldn't beat the pocket jacks of O'Dwyer.

Leon Tsoukernik has taken Patrik Antonius' old seat, hoping it would bring him more luck. On that same table, Dietrich Fast has accumulated more chips to take him to the top of the leaderboard.

Leonard Builds Stack; Vogelsang Doubles

Level 6 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Patrick Leonard faced a raise to 50,000 by Antonello Capobianco in early position and three-bet out of the small blind, making it 175,000 to go. Capobianco quickly called and the flop fell {J-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{6-Spades}. Leonard continued for 110,000 and Capobianco called. On the {6-Clubs} turn both players checked and Leonard made it 275,000 to go on the {A-Spades} river.

Capobianco gave it some thought and called, then nodded and tapped the table when being shown {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} by Leonard for a rivered full house.

Christoph Vogelsang was all in and at risk for his last 196,000 and was in prime shape with the {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. Thomer Pidun only held {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} and the board of {A-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} brought no upset.

Grospellier Busts to Nitsche

Level 6 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Bertrand Grospellier
Bertrand Grospellier

The board was already complete with more than 700,000 in the middle and Dominik Nitsche moved all in on the {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} river. Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier called for his last 290,000 and Nitsche announced an ace, then rolled over {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}. Grospellier was going to muck his cards, but as it was an all in showdown the cards of the Frenchman were turned over, it were {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} for an inferior full house.

The vacant seat was filled swiftly with Markus Durnegger on his second bullet and Nitsche continued to bulldoze through the table in the next hand. Nitsche's raise to 40,000 was met with a three-bet by Manig Loeser for 200,000 and a jam of Nitsche followed to force a fold.

Ramos Takes Loeser Out

Level 5 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Steve O'Dwyer raised to 32,000, next to act was Manig Loeser who three-bet to 105,000. Timothy Adams folded but Felipe Ramos four-bet to 301,000. O'Dwyer folded and Loeser shoved for about 600,000. Ramos snap-called with the bigger stack.

Felipe Ramos: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Manig Loeser: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}

The board ran out {8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} - even though Loeser picked up a flush draw on the flop, that flush never materialized and he was eliminated from the tournament.

Sontheimer Shoves

Level 5 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Sam Trickett raised to 40,000 from the under-the-gun position and was called by Manig Loeser in the cutoff and Steffen Sontheimer in the big blind.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{9-Hearts}, Sontheimer checked, Trickett bet 100,000 and both Loeser and Sontheimer called.

They all checked through the {3-Hearts} on the turn to the {9-Clubs} on the river. Sontheimer shoved, having both of his opponents covered, and they both snap-folded.

O'Dwyer Drags in a Big One

Level 5 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Picking up the action on the {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} turn, Timothy Adams checked out of the small blind and Steve O'Dwyer on the button bet 55,000. Adams check-raised to 190,000 and O'Dwyer called. Adams bet the {Q-Clubs} river for 550,000 and O'Dwyer called for half his remaining stack.

Adams rolled over the {Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} and O'Dwyer had that beat with {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} and dragged in a big pot.
