Angelou-Konstas and Hulme Split Pot

Level 10 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Andrew Hulme raised to 90,000 from the hijack and Ioannis Angelou-Konstas three-bet to 275,000 from the cutoff. Action folded back to Hulme who called.

Hulme check-called the 150,000 continuation-bet of Angelou-Konstas on the {k-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{k-Spades} flop.

They both checked through the {3-Spades} on the turn and the {q-Clubs} on the river.

Hulme tabled {A-Spades}{J-Clubs} for the two pair on the board plus the ace-kicker in his hand. Angelou-Konstas quickly turned around his {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for the same hand to split the pot.

Moorman Knocked Out by Green

Level 10 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Chris Moorman shoved for 190,000 from the hijack and was called by Claus Grether in the cutoff. Terrance Green, on the button, looked at the shove and call, and decided to three-bet to 350,000. Grether reluctantly folded.

Chris Moorman: {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Terrance Green: {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out {4-Spades}{3-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{A-Diamonds} for Green to eliminate Moorman and build up his stack to over 6 million already.

Saxby Shot Down by Kane

Level 10 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Kelly Saxby walked past the media desk to enter Day 1b and was kind enough to tell the team that Michael Kane had taken her out of the running for Day 1a as she shoved her pocket kings into the ace-nine of Kane. Kane managed to flop an ace and Saxby was sent to the cashier to reenter in the new flight.

Ben Jackson has also taken his seat in Day 1b.

Break

Level 9 : 15,000/35,000, 35,000 ante

The 63 remaining players have been sent for their last 15-minute break of the day. After this, three more levels of 40 minutes each need to be played before they can bag and tag their chips for Day 2.

Green Growing His Stack

Level 9 : 15,000/35,000, 35,000 ante

Terrance Green was suddenly sitting with a stack of over 5 million in front of him and Jessica Pilkington was kind enough to relate what had happened on Green's request.

Armin Rezaei raised to 70,000 from under the gun and Green three-bet to 260,000 in mid-position. Pilkington herself folded pocket nines in the big blind. The flop came {J-}{9-}{2-}, Rezaei check-called the 250,000 continuation-bet of Green. The turn was another {j-} and they both checked through to the {q-} on the river. Rezaei bet 1,050,000, leaving himself behind with around 250,000. Green put Rezaei all-in and Rezaei called.

Rezaei had {q-}{j-} for the full house, jacks over queens. Green had him beat though with {q-}{q-} for the higher full house of queens over jacks.

Shortly after, Green raised from early position and Algernon Buchanan three-bet on the button which Green called. The flop was the {j-}{8-}{2-}, Green check-raised the 300,000 bet of Buchanan to 900,000 and Buchanan called. The turn was the {5-}, Green put Buchanan all-in and Buchanan open-folded {a-}{a-}. Green flashed {k-}{k-}.

While Pilkington was telling the live reporting team about the hands, she herself raised to 75,000 from the button and was called by Claus Grether and Green in the blinds.

The flop came {5-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{3-Spades} and both Grether and Green checked. Pilkington continued with a bet of 100,000 and only Green called. The turn brought them the {a-Hearts}, Green now check-called the 125,000 bet of Pilkington. They both checked on the {8-Diamonds} on the river. Green flipped over {a-Spades}{2-Hearts} for trip aces and that was enough to make Pilkington muck her hand.

Man Folds to Liperis

Level 9 : 15,000/35,000, 35,000 ante

Chun Hao Man raised to 75,000 from the cutoff and action folded to Yiannis Liperis in the big blind. Liperis checked how much Man still had behind and then made the call.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{a-Diamonds} and Liperis check-called the 75,000 continuation-bet of Man.

They both checked through the {8-Spades} on the turn to the {7-Hearts} on the river. Liperis now lead with a bet of 150,000 and Man considered his options. After taking a bit of time, Man opted to fold.
