Relieved Looks All Round

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Ning Lu raised to 130,000 and Steven Morris called.

The flop came {7-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Lu continued for 150,000. Morris called and the pair checked the {k-Spades} turn. The river was the {6-Diamonds} and Lu bet 365,000. Morris pondered a while before calling.

Lu showed {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Morris instantly turned over {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}.

"I thought you had nine-ten for some reason," said Morris.

"What do you do if he raises?" tablemate Chris Sly asked Lu and Lu could only grin in response.

Leslie Trebles His Stack

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

John Leslie was down to around 300,000 when faced a raise from Robert Buky and a call from Terence Etim. Leslie moved all in and both his opponents called.

On the {6-Spades}{9-Hearts}{9-Spades} flop, Buky bet 250,000 into the side pot and Etim called. On the {q-Diamonds} turn Etim again called a bet from Buky, this time for 450,000.

Buky moved all in on the {2-Clubs} river and Etim folded. Buky won the side pot and both players turned their cards over for the result of the main pot.

Robert Buky: {10-Spades}{7-Spades}
John Leslie: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

Leslie trebled up as his top pair was good enough to swoop in the main pot and keep him alive in the Main Event.
