Picking up the action on a flop, Jean-Robert Bellande check-called 1,400 from Sam Grafton to see the turn. Both players checked, landing the river where Bellande checked for a third time. Grafton bet 5,500 and after a few moments, Bellande called.
We found Paul Volpe and Brian Altman looking down at a board that read . Volpe checked to Altman and he also decided to check his option.
Fifth street brought a fourth spade- the - and Volpe checked once more. Altman reached into his stack and came out with a bet of 10,200 into the pot of about 11,000.
Volpe tossed out a call after about thirty seconds and saw Altman table for merely a pair of fives. Volpe showed for top two pair and was able to drag in the pot.
From the hijack seat, Calvin Anderson opened with a raise to 1,000. Next to act was Maria Ho, and she reraised to 2,500 from the cutoff seat. Play folded back around to Anderson, and he took his time before four-betting things up to 6,350. Ho made the call.
The dealer spread the flop, and Anderson fired 5,700. Ho called, and the was added on the turn. Anderson didn't slow down, tossing out 13,075. After a bit of thought, Ho folded her hand, and Anderson scooped the pot.
