Mizrachi Doubles Through Elias

Robert Mizrachi and Darren Elias just played a bit pot against each other that saw Elias make two pair and win a hefty chunk of chips. Well, Mizrachi just got all those chips back and then some as he just doubled through Elias.

Mizrachi raised to 50,000 from middle position, and Elias called out of the small blind to take a {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} flop. After Elias passed the action to Mizrachi with a check, Mizrachi fired 73,000. Elias fired back with a raise to 210,000, but Mizrachi didn't back down. Instead, he came back over the top with a reraise to 600,000. Elias moved all in, and Mizrachi called for 906,000 total.

Mizrachi held the {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} for top pair, top kicker. Elias held the {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} for a weaker top pair. The turn and river completed the board with the {3-Spades} and {A-Hearts} to give Mizrachi the hand and double him up.

Mizrachi Under One Million; Elias Over Two Million

Darren Elias made it 50,000 to go out of the hijack seat, and Robert Mizrachi called from the big blind.

On the {9-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop, Mizrachi check-called a bet of 55,000 before seeing tha {A-Diamonds} land on the turn. Mizrachi checked again, and Elias fired 160,000. Mizrachi called.

The river completed the board when the {6-Spades} fell, and Mizrachi checked a third time. Elias bet 425,000, and Mizrachi made the call.

Elias rolled over the {A-Spades}{9-Hearts} for two pair, aces and nines. Mizrachi mucked his hand, and Elias was shipped the pot.

Eddy Sabat Eliminated in 17th Place ($56,000)

Eddy Sabat and Jonathan Roy
Eddy Sabat and Jonathan Roy

Eddy Sabat opened to 48,000 from the cutoff and it folded around to Darren Elias in the small blind. Elias three-bet to 132,000 and action came back to Sabat.

"I'll go all in," said Sabat.

Elias snapped him off and tabled {J-Spades}{J-Clubs} which was racing with Sabat's {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}.

The flop brought no help for Sabat as it fell {3-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. The {2-Hearts} rolled off on fourth street meaning Sabat needed an ace or a king on the river to stay alive. The river was the {9-Clubs} and he was forced to settle with a 17th place finish. Sabat has made the top 40 in this event three years in a row and this 17th place is his best finish here. He'll collect $56,000 for his winnings.

Loeser Doubles Through Crowe

Mikal Blomlie raised to 51,000 from the cutoff seat, and Manig Loeser reraised all in for 436,000 from the button. Owen Crowe called out of the big blind, and Blomlie folded.

Crowe tabled the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} for a flip against the at-risk Loeser's {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

The board ran through {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{6-Spades}, and Loeser's tens held up. He doubled through to a little under one million, while Crowe was left with 2.25 million.

Anthony Borde Eliminated in 18th Place; Olivier Busquet Eliminated in 19th Place ($56,000)

Anthony Borde -- 18th Place
Anthony Borde -- 18th Place

The next two eliminations on Day 5 belonged to Anthony Borde and Olivier Busquet. Both were eliminated on the same hand against Ryan Fair, and here's how it went down.

Busquet raised to 50,000 from under the gun before Fair reraised to 132,000 from the next seat. Action then folded to Borde in the cutoff seat, and he moved all in for approximately 750,000. After action folded back to Busquet, he called all in for around 510,000. Fair then called and put both players at risk.

Busquet was the shortest stack of the three and held the {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}. Borde was also at risk, and he held the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}. Fair had both of them crushed with both chips and hand, holding the {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}.

The {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} board provided no help, and Fair sent both Busquet and Borde out the door. Both earned $56,000 while Fair increased to 3.7 million in chips.

Mohsin Charania Eliminated in 20th Place ($56,000)

The second player eliminated on the day was 2012 PokerStars and Monte-Carlo® Casino EPT Grand Final champion Mohsin Charania, and with his bustout, we'll have to wait until Deauville to see if the first two-time EPT champion will be crowned.

Charania moved all in from under the gun for 115,000, and action folded to Michael Lipman on the button. He called, then play moved over to Jerry Wong in the big blind. Wong reraised and made it 300,000 to go. Lipman also called the reraise before the dealer ran out the {10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop.

On the flop, Wong fired 200,000. Lipman raised all in, and Wong called off for around 900,000 total. He held the {A-Spades}{10-Hearts} for top pair, top kicker. Lipman held the {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}, and Charania had {2-}{2-}.

The turn was the {6-Spades} and river the {8-Clubs}. Wong's hand held up to give him the double up through Lipman and knockout of Charania.
