Troyanovskiy Clubs Wahlbeck

With 13,100 in the pot and a board reading {7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, Team PokerStars Pro Ville Wahlbeck bet 10,000 only to have Vladimir Troyanovskiy move all in. Wahlbeck thought long and hard before calling off with {8-Hearts}{7-Spades}, and he was ahead of Troyanovskiy, who was drawing with the {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}.

Much to Wahlbeck's dismay, the {8-Clubs} spiked on the river to give Troyanovskiy a flush and the win.

Stout Check-Raises Turn

On the very last hand of Level 7, Micah Raskin opened to 1,600 from middle position, Matt Stout called in the hijack seat, and JC Alvarado three-bet to 5,400 on the button. Raskin folded, and Stout called.

The dealer fanned {7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Spades}, and both players checked. The turn was the {k-Spades}, Stout checked again, and Alvarado fired 6,000. Stout check-raised to 16,000, and Alvarado tank-folded.

One for Bonomo

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

After one player checked the {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop, Justin Bonomo fired 4,000. Sam Stein made the call, then the first player folded.

The turn was the {J-Clubs} to pair the board, and Bonomo bet 11,500. Stein folded, and Bonomo won the pot.

O'Dwyer Done; Oliver Returns

We saw Steve O'Dwyer was no longer in his seat. When we asked Justin Bonomo, who was seated at the table, whether or not O'Dwyer had busted, he responded, "Twice." Indeed, O'Dwyer has fired two bullets in the $25,000 High Roller and missed on both occasions. His most recent elimination came when he lost a race holding {A-}{K-} against the {J-}{J-} of Brian Hastings.

Meanwhile, both Chris Oliver and Mike "Timex" McDonald have opted to reenter.

It's Not Treys Full, But Mercier's Not Complaining

Four players were in action on the {6-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop, and Scott Seiver was first to act. He checked to Christian Harder, who bet 3,200. Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier made the call, and then Anthony Gregg folded. Seiver took his time after action fell back on him before check-raising to 8,600. Harder folded, but Mercier made the call.

The turn card paired the board when the {6-Hearts} fell. Seiver stayed on the gas and bet 12,600. Mercier didn't rush things and made the call to head to fifth street.

On the river, the {4-Clubs} landed. Seiver moved all in for a little over 40,000. Mercier snap-called as if he were acting out his best Phil Hellmuth impression. Seiver knew it was bad news even though he tabled the {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for a straight to the six. Mercier had him beat with the {2-Spades}{2-Clubs} for a full house.

Mercier was all in on the river for 31,600, and he vaulted his stack well over 100,000 while leaving Seiver with just 10,300 in chips.

Haxton's Flush is No Good

Isaac Haxton
Isaac Haxton

Isaac Haxton and an opponent took a flop of {8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades}. Haxton checked, his opponent bet an unknown amount, and the PokerStars Team Online Member check-raised to 5,600. The player called.

The turn was the {4-Spades}, Haxton led for 11,600, and his opponent called.

A repeat eight - the {8-Clubs} - completed the board, and Haxton tanked before moving all in for effectively 26,400. The player immediately called, and Haxton showed {j-Spades}{10-Spades} for a jack-high flush.

His opponent rolled over two red threes for a rivered full house.

Haxton let out a long sigh, and is now down to 64,500 chips.

Big Stacks Around the Room

Mizrachi Crushing

Michael Mizrachi and Jason Wheeler were heads up on a flop of {6-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. Mizrachi checked, Wheeler fired 6,500, and Mizrachi called.

The turn was the {2-Clubs}, Mizrachi checked again, and Wheeler tossed out 8,500. Mizrachi tank-called.

The {8-Spades} completed the board, and Mizrachi quickly bet 12,000, basically putting Wheeler all in. Wheeler tanked for the better part of two minutes, then folded.
