Gruissem Over 400K

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 500 ante

Alex Bilokur checked the {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} board to his opponent, Philipp Gruissem. Gruissem fired a bet of 16,000, and Bilokur called.

The river completed the board with the {K-Diamonds}, and Bilokur checked. Gruissem bet 35,000, and Bilokur made the call.

Gruissem tabled the {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a straight to beat Bilokur's {J-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. He's now over 400,000 in chips.

The Waxman Miracle

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 500 ante
Matt Waxman
Matt Waxman

Faraz Jaka raised preflop to 6,500 and Matt Waxman, two seats over, moved all in for 44,900. The action folded to Ankush Mandavia and from the small blind he moved all in for about 30,000 more.

Dan Smith was next to act in the big blind and he tanked for a bit before moving all in as well. Jaka quickly folded and the showdown went as following.

Smith: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Mandavia: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}
Waxman: {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

The flop brought out {10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades} and Mandavia cheered, "Spades!"

On the turn the {2-Hearts} popped up and Jaka said that Waxman was gonna get there on the river. The river did indeed bring the {3-Hearts} and Waxman leaned back in his chair in amazement.

"Don't report that please," Waxman jokingly said as he raked in a big triple up. Smith was left with a very small stack while Mandavia maintained his stack.

Big Double for Newey

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 500 ante

From early position, Paul Newey raised to 5,000. Sorel Mizzi called on the button, and Joseph Cheong called out of the big blind. On the {K-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop, Cheong and Newey checked. Mizzi bet 10,500, and Cheong folded. Newey reached for chips and tossed in a raise to 30,000. After some thought, Mizzi reraised all in. Newey called to put his stack on the line for 95,800 total. He held the {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts} for top pair, top kicker, while Mizzi had the {J-Spades}{10-Spades} for a flush draw.

The turn was the {A-Diamonds} to give Newey two pair. It also added a Broadway straight draw for Mizzi.

The river completed the board with the {3-Diamonds}, and Newey's big slick held up. He won the pot with aces and kings to double to over 200,000. Mizzi was left with 72,000.

Newey is a relatively new player to the high-stakes poker world, but he is no stranger to being a high roller. In a recent interview with PokerNews' Rich Ryan, Newey discusses diving into the world of poker, improving his game, and much more.

Charania Puts The Worst Beat on Kenney

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 500 ante
Bryn Kenney
Bryn Kenney

"That was the worst beat of my career," Bryn Kenney laughed as he told his bustout hand to numerous interested players. We missed most of the action, but caught the board and Faraz Jaka recapped the action for us.

Kenney raised and called Mohsin Charania's three-bet after which the flop brought {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{6-Spades} and both players checked. On the turn the {10-Spades} popped up and that card sparked a ton of action.

After a raising war Kenney ended up all in, after starting the hand with 110,000 chips, while Charania barely had him covered.

Kenney showed {6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a full house and Charania turned over {8-Spades}{7-Spades} for a gutshot straight flush draw on top of his straight. The river brought the {9-Spades} and while Kenney improved to a bigger full house Charania made his straight flush.
