Stokkan Has Bicknell Drawing Slim

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Preben Stokkan opened to 8,000 from under the gun and was called by Dario Sammartino on his left, Kristen Bicknell on the button, and Brock Wilson in the big blind. The flop came {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Wilson checked to Stokkan who continued for 17,000. Sammartino folded and Bicknell raised to 50,000. Wilson also folded and Stokkan pushed all in for 84,000 which got a quick call from Bicknell.

Preben Stokkan: {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Kristen Bicknell: {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

Although Bicknell flopped a straight flush draw, Stokkan had all of her outs and better straight and flush draws. The turn was the {9-Spades} and Bicknell was already drawing dead to the {q-Hearts} on the river.

Gianluca Speranza
Gianluca Speranza

Sean Winter opened for 6,000 under the gun, Ryan Riess made it 20,000 in the cutoff and Gianluca Speranza piled in 56,000 on a cold four-bet from the button. Action folded back to Riess and he moved all in for 250,500. Speranza waved for a count then called.

Gianluca Speranza: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Ryan Riess: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{7-Spades}, as dead as they come for Riess, and he headed out with a "good luck."

Bicknell Sends Dvoress Packing

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Kristen Bicknell raised to 6,500 from the cutoff and was called by Rob Hollink in the small blind. Daniel Dvoress was in the big blind and shipped all in for around 70,000. Bicknell re-shoved to get Hollink out of the pot and the two remaining hands were tabled.

Kristen Bicknell: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Daniel Dvoress: {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

The flop of {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts} kept Bicknell in the lead with a pair of aces but Dvoress picked up a flush draw. The turn was the {3-Diamonds} and the river brought the {k-Spades} to brick off any chance Dvoress might have.

Alex Foxen
Alex Foxen

Alex Foxen shoved for 44,500 over an open by Jesus Cortes, who called with {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. Foxen was in good shape to keep his comeback going as he had {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}.

The {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} left Cortes in need of runner-runner against top set. The {3-Hearts} got him halfway there and he hit his straight on the {2-Diamonds} river.

Chen Burns Seven Time Banks

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

At the start of the day, all of the players carried forward the time banks they had from Day 1, plus they were each given three more before Day 2 began. It was a good thing for James Chen as he needed nearly all of his to make a decision.

A completed board of {9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs}{k-Spades}{q-Clubs} was spread across the table and Christopher Kruk checked from the big blind. Chen bet 26,000 into a pot of around 55,000 on the button and Kruk check-raised all in, putting Chen to the test for his remaining 66,000 chips.

Chen burned through time bank after time bank, seven in total, before finally making the decision to fold and give Kruk the pot.
