Bonomo Chips Up

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Joao Simao forced out Gianluca Speranza from a bigger pot and the Italian then took on big stack Alexander Kharkov and Justin Bonomo. On a four-way flop of {A-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs}, Speranza had bet and was called by Kharkov on the button and Bonomo in the big blind. The {3-Hearts} turn was checked to Speranza and he bet 7,500, two calls followed.

The {6-Hearts} on the river was checked through and Bonomo first to show, he flopped over {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for the nut straight. Speranza mucked and Kharkov flashed {6-Spades}{4-Spades} for the busted gutshot and flush draw.

Lots of Banter by Grafton

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Sam Grafton
Sam Grafton

As usual, the jovial Sam Grafton can be heard within the entire tournament area and this time he found some players to talk to near consistently, as High Rollers Bryn Kenney, Luc Greenwood, and Scott Seiver are seated with him.

Seiver was left with very few chips and quadrupled once through Kenney with {K-Spades}{3-Spades} versus {Q-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. Kenney had just doubled through Greenwood the previous hand when his {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts} got there against {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} thanks to a board of {K-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{9-Spades}.

Grafton was filming the showdown with his smartphone, adding commentary for the story, and then joked while pointing to the roof "I am taking this tournament seriously, don't do anything to me." So far, Grafton is doing quite well with four times the starting stack.
