It appears that Lin Yong has edged into the chip lead, with Anson Yan Shing Tsang, who we have yet to catch in action today, is currently sharing the second place berth with Weizhou Zha, with Haoyu Hu rounding out the top four. There are now 90 players still in contention but Bobbie Suri is not one of them and while we missed his exit hand the Indian player's seat is now empty.

Sun Tinhou made it 11,000 to go from middle position and Taiwan’s Chiu Tzu Cheng quickly shipped her remaining 58,000 into the center of the table.
Tinhou had Chen covered, but the call would be for a significant portion of his chips should he chose to make it. Make it he did however, and the cards were turned over.

flop, this also gave Tinhou Broadway. The
turn and
river completed the hand and we lose another while Tinhou stacks up to 175,000.
Xixiang Luo had fired three bullets to get this far, finally earning his Day 2 seat on yesterday’s Day 1C. It appears like Luo will be sticking around a little longer and has just earned himself a double against a grumpy tablemate who wishes to remain nameless.
Luo was the initial aggressor from middle position and his opponent, sitting in the small blind, had re-raised to 21,500, only to see Luo snap ship for 66,000 in total.
The small blind thought long and hard over the call but eventually chose to make it and the cards were turned over.

We caught a blind on blind battle between Martin Gonzales and chip leader Weizhou Zha and discovered that Gonzales is quite the talker.
While we do not know what the Filipino player’s initial open from the small blind was we do know that Zha had re-popped the action to 13,000 and Gonzales had pulled the trigger and moved all-in for 104,500.
“Why so much?” quizzed Zha.
“I’m sleepy and I can go back to bed if I lose,” replied Gonzales glibly.
Gonzales looks pretty awake to us, if a little laid back and after tanking for a good couple of minutes Zha decided to let it go. That seemed to wake Gonzales up a little and he sprang into action stacking up his newly won chips, climbing to 117,500 after the hand while Zha drops a little but is still the frontrunner with a stack of 439,000.
It has all gone wrong for Zhao Jianpeng today and his tournament is now over courtesy of Macau’s Sam Cheong. Pre-flop it was Jianpeng who waa the initial aggressor, making it 7,500 to go from middle position and action folded around to Sam Cheong in the big blind.
Cheong squeezed his hole cards and looked back up at Jianpeng before shipping for 143,000. That’s a huge raise, and a fairly quick one and Jianpeng sat back in his chair and folded his arms while checking Cheong out.
Wearing his trademark Subzero-style face mask Cheong was giving nothing away and Jianpeng looked torn between calling or folding. Cheong had him covered so it was a big decision for Jianpeng’s tournament life.
Eventually Jianpeng shrugged his shoulders and slammed down the remainder of his 100k stack into the pot and the cards were turned over.

flop hard to a huge groan from Cheong, who sat holding his head in his hands. However, the
turn saw Cheong almost leap out of his seat in delight and he gave an excited cry of ‘Yes!’ as he hit top set to take the lead.
That left Jianpeng drawing to the deck’s sole remaining ten, which did not make an appearance on the river and he headed for the rail while Cheong stacked up to 282,000.
There is a new sheriff in town and it is Weizhou Zha who is now most definitely chip leader as we had a chance to get a decent count of the stacks on the break. However Haoyu Hu is not all that far behind while former front runners Alex Lee and Bobbie Suri have dropped off, but are still very much in the running, though Lee is running better than Suri at present as the latter has significantly less than he began the day with.
Quan Zhou is climbing into contention and we witnessed him in a hand against Zhao Ting Ting that saw him chip up a little more. Ore-flop there was an under-the-gun raise to 7,500 with Zhou making the call from UTG+1 before Ting Ting popped it up to 25,000 to go.
While the original raiser folded out, Zhou made the call to take the action heads-up to a flop of ![]()

. Zhou checked the action over to Ting Ting, who fired for 25,000 and Zhou slid out a chunky check-raise of 95,000. This sent Ting Ting into the tank, where she remained for around 2-minutes before making the call.
The
turn saw Zhou now fire for 80,000, leaving himself 100,000 behind and Ting Ting quickly mucked. She dropped to 210,000 after the hand while Zhou climbed to 378,000.

The 123 remaining Main Event players are on a 15-minute break.
While it is tough to guess Haoyu Hu’s exact stack size it appears that he has a contender for the top spot with Weizhou Zha making a run at the leaderboard.
We caught Zha in action in a three-way hand against Wen Zhen and Alex Lee on a flop of ![]()
![]()
with 18,000 in blinds and antes already in the pot.
While we do not know who was the pre-flop aggressor we do know that Zhen is the man to act first and he fired out a 14,000 bet from the big blind which both Lee (middle position) and Zha, (cutoff) both call.
The
turn saw Zhen slow down and check, with Lee checking behind. Zha however, showed no such restraint and reached for betting chips, making it 35,000 to go.
Zhen quickly called and Lee folded to take play heads-up to the
river. Zhen checked, as did Zha and while Zhen turned over ![]()
for top pair, it was not enough to beat Zha’s ![]()
and he scooped in the pot to climb to 420,000 while Zhen dropped to 91,000.
We are not sure if this gives Zha the lead but it’s pretty close between him and Haoyu Hu and that brings us to the second break of the day.
