Zobian Gets It All Back

Level 14 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Aram Zobian opened to 45,000 in the hijack and Darren Elias three-bet to 130,000 on the button. The blinds folded and Zobian stuck in a four-bet for about half of his stack. Elias five-bet shoved all in and Zobian snapped off his stack of 625,000.

The flop came 962 and Elias fell further behind with only two outs now. The Q and 8 runout was clean for Zobian who scored a double up, leaving Elias on the short stack.

Elias Shoves on Zobian

Chris Hunichen opened to 50,000 and was called by Aram Zobian on the button and Darren Elias in the big blind. The flop came 854 and the action checked to Zobian who bet 40,000. Elias called and Hunichen stepped aside.

The 8 paired the board on the turn and both players checked to the 7 on the river. Elias checked for the third time and Zobian pushed out a bet of 170,000. Elias check-raised all in for just over 400,000 and Zobian quickly mucked his cards.

Winter Shows One

Landon Tice raised to 45,000 on the button and Sean Winter reraised to 175,000 out of the big blind. Tice called and they went heads-up to a flop of A95.

Winter led out with a bet of 75,000 and Tice called to see the Q on the turn. Winter announced another bet of 240,000 and Tice quickly sent his cards to the muck. Winter flashed the 3, claiming "three-deuce", as he raked in the pot.

It was a coin flip and the flop of 952 favored the pocket tens of Laskowitz. The Q on the turn just missed Shak and the 2 on the river also bricked out. The tournament will now be hand-for-hand until the next elimination on the stone bubble.

Pan Calls Down Weissman

Level 13 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Qinghai Pan raised to 35,000 on the button and Joey Weissman defended from the big blind. The flop came K83 and Weissman check-called a bet of 45,000 from Pan.

The turn was the 6 and both players checked to the 8 on the river. Weissman slid out a bet of 105,000, leaving just 5,000 behind. Pan gave it some thought and then threw in the chips to call. Weissman showed 97 for a missed straight and flush draw while Pan held A3 for two pair.

Weissman was forced all in on the next hand and was eliminated, quickly followed by John Hennigan on the hand after that.

Hunichen and Lichtenberger Delay the Inevitable

Action was picked up on the turn with a pot of around 200,000 in the middle and the board reading QJ23. Chris Hunichen checked from under the gun and Andrew Lichtenberger bet 60,000 on his left. Hunichen check-raised all in for 310,000 and Lichtenberger went into the tank before calling.

The river was the 5 and Hunichen improved to a flush to score a double up through Lichtenberger, leaving him with just a single T5,000 chip.

"I almost found a way to not lose all my chips," Lichtenberger commented.

"I almost found a way to not get a full double up," Hunichen joked back.

Zobian Catches Berk Speeding

Aram Zobian opened to 30,000 in the hijack and Michael Berk reraised all in from the small blind. Zobian briefly thought and then called off his stack of 500,000.

Zobian was in a dominating position and the flop of QQ8 all but sealed the deal. The 8 on the turn left Berk drawing dead to the 10 on the river.
