Merten Out After A Tough Day

No more Day 1b for the reigning champion of the Italian Masters of Poker, Germany’s Christoph Merten.

Earlier today, we reported that Martens was trying hard to add some chips to his short stack. Unfortunately for him, the cards didn’t help him to achieve his goal and he had to leave the Day 1a Main Event shortly before the dinner break started.

However, Merten’s hopes to win another tournament here at the King’s Casino are not over yet - as the player promised to join the field again during the Day 1c starting on Saturday at 14:00 CET.

“I will definitely try again tomorrow, it’s not over yet,” Marten said as he was sent to the rails.
