Matus Schnierer Out Set Over Set

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante
Matus Schnierer
Matus Schnierer

Matus Schnierer has had a rough patch of luck ever since chopping the PokerNews Cup Opening Event for €2,607. When the Slovakian is not playing poker, he can often be seen dealing cards to other players at King's Casino.

Schnierer at the moment is understandably frustrated after exiting the PokerNews Cup Main Event for a second time after just missing the cut in Day 1B.

He shared with us that he made a standard raise from late position and was called by the button. Unfortunately for him, both players flopped Yatzhee with Schnierer nailing a set with {5-}{5-} and his opponent just out-doing him with a higher set with his {6-}{6-}. The action was small on the flop with Schnierer betting and his opponent just calling.

The turn didn't fill up quads for either player when all of Schnierer's chips went in the middle. Schnierer busted after he was unable to secure the win with a one-outer on the river. While we would be surprised to see him re-enter the PokerNews Cup Main Event in Flight 1C, we wouldnt be as surprised to see him enter the €60 buy-in King's Hold'em Championship with a €12,000 which just began moments ago and already has 73 entrants.
