The reigning champion of the Italian Masters of Poker, Germany’s Christoph Merten, is no longer in the list of the players busy with the Main Event.
Martens, who already try to battle for a spot in the Day 2 during yesterday’s Day 1b, was seen leaving the tournament room shortly before the end of the ninth level of play.
Having already fired two bullets in today's Day 1c, his only hope to bring home another title and a share of the €200,000 guaranteed prize pool is to join the last of the four starting flights in the schedule - the turbo Day 1d that is set to begins today at 21:00 CET.
