EPT Finalist Joep van den Bijgaart and Lukas Splettstosser were tangling earlier, with Splettstosser getting the best of it. This time, it was Van den Bijgaart who got some chips back from his left-hand neighbor.

Van den Bijgaart raised to 1,200 from the cutoff, Splettstosser three-bet to 2,500 on the button, and Van den Bijgaart called. Both players checked the {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop. Van den Bijgaart check-called 1,700 on the {2-Hearts} turn, then led out 3,200 on the {10-Hearts} river.

Splettstosser made the call with {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs} but the Dutchman showed the winner with {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}.

On a {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop, the big blind checked to Felipe Ramos, who bet 2,100. The big blind called and checked the {J-Diamonds} turn, which Ramos checked behind.

The big blind bet 4,700 on the {K-Clubs} river and Ramos called after mere seconds with {K-Spades}{10-Spades}. The big blind mucked and the Team PokerStars Pro added some chips.

Quenneville Bluffs it Off

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

We found Troy Quenneville pushing all in for his last 7,500 into a pot of about 11,000. The Canadian was in middle position and had been checked to by big blind Andrei Konopelko on a {k-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades} board. Konopelko stood up and slapped in a call. Quenneville flicked {8-Spades}{7-Spades} into the middle for a worthless eight-high, and Konopelko showed {k-Spades}{6-Clubs}.

Metaal Makes a Thin Call

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

On a completed board of {10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, Govert Metaal checked in middle position and Ashkan Fattahi bet 10,500, most of his remaining chips. Metaal thought briefly and called. Fattahi tossed {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts} into the middle for an airball, and Metaal showed {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}.

Cheong Induces the Bluff

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

Lee Hon Cheong checked from the small blind in a bloated pot with a straight on the board: {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. His opponent in early position slid in 40,000. Cheong asked if the player was all in. Informed he wasn't, Cheong called off his stack of 26,250.

Cheong: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

Cheong had the higher straight and doubled through.

Vrublevsky Knocks Out Trujillo

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

Ilya Vrublevsky raised to 1,000 and received two callers. Alberto Flores Trujillo shoved approximately 16,000 from the big blind, which sent Vlrublevsky in deep thought. It took the better part of three minutes before he committed his entire stack of almost 19,000, and the other players quickly got out of the way.

Alberto Flores Trujillo: {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Ilya Vrublevksy: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

The board ran out {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} and Vrublevsky's pocket eights remained best to eliminate Trujillo.
