Mitsopoulos' Big Stack

Kyriakos Mitsopoulos has one of the bigger stacks in the tournament room even though he just had to fold when his opponent shoved all in from the button for 9,400 after Mitsopoulos' raise to 2,100 from the hijack.

They checked through the {9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} on the flop to the {6-Diamonds} on the turn. The player in the small blind check-called the 2,300 bet of Keles.

The {8-Hearts} on the river completed the board, now the small blind check-folded to the 5,000 bet of Keles. Keles showed {K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for the turned flush and Cicek was done for today as he held {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} in his hand.

Bisgard Wins a Big One

The board read {K-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{4-Spades} with a pot that had already collected about 37,000 and Anders Bisgard had shoved for 21,800 from the button. Dragan Stankovic, in the under-the-gun position, folded. As did the player in the middle position. Peter Willkom, in the hijack, needed some more time but eventually also folded.

Christos Makariou raised to 1,500 from the button and was called by Phong Thanh Pham in the big blind.

The flop came {2-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}, Pham check-called the 1,500 bet of Makariou.

The turn brought them the {3-Diamonds} on which they both checked. They also did the same on the {10-Clubs} on the river. Makariou tabled {Q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for queen-high and Pham mucked.

The board read {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} and the pot had already accumulated to about 9,000. Rizkallah Kocheiche bet 2,000 from the big blind and Pavel Plotnikov shoved all in from the under-the-gun position. Kocheiche snap-called. Kocheiche tabled {J-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for a flush which beat the {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} of Plotnikov who had flopped a set of sevens. As Kocheiche had Plotnikov covered, Plotnikov was eliminated from the tournament.

Tomislav Mandic was one of the players that registered late and joined the table of Peter Willkom, Anders Bisgard and Francois Mittertreiner.

The board already read {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{9-Clubs} with about 28,000 in the pot and Mandic was all in for 13,000. Peter Willkom called.

Mandic had flopped a set of jacks and Willkom had flopped top pair. The river completed the board with the {K-Diamonds}, no danger for Mandic as he doubled up.

Jost Jousts With Sytau

Cedric Jost raised to 1,200 from the cutoff and action folded to Pavel Sytau in the big blind. Sytau three-bet to 3,600 and Jost called.

The flop came {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{J-Hearts}, Sytau now bet 2,700 and Jost called.

They both checked through the {8-Diamonds} on the turn to the {5-Hearts} on the river to complete the board. Sytau looked up to the glass roof and thought about his option. In the end, he decided to bet 5,000, Jost also took some time to think and then called. Sytau showed {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} but the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} of Jost was better as he had two pair jacks and threes with the queen-kicker.
