Glaeser Busts Balciunas and Kopyl

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante
Waldemar Kopyl
Waldemar Kopyl

Waldemar Kopyl had recoverd to more than the starting stack again before he would bow out with a big bang in a three-way all in.

Dalius Balciunas shoved for 13,000 from the cutoff and Kopyl reshoved from the button, which Glaeser called from the small blind.

Dalius Balciunas: {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Waldemar Kopyl: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Patrick Glaeser: {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}

The {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Spades} flop gave Kopyl top set, while Glaeser regained the lead with the {J-Spades} on the turn. Balciunas was not drawing dead either as he had a straight draw and a three-way split was an option with another spade on the river. Instead, the {2-Hearts} completed the board and Glaeser sent two opponents to the rail.

Raffael Targowski
Raffael Targowski

Raffael Targowski raised to 1,500 from the hijack and was called by Roman Wieczorek in the big blind.

The dealer burned a card and flopped {5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} open. Both players checked. The turn came with the {4-Spades}, now Wieczorek bet 700 and Targowski called.

The board was completed with the {4-Diamonds} on the river. Now Wieczorek check-called the 2,200 bet of Targowski. Targowski showed {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and that was sufficient for Wieczorek to muck his own hand.

Schulze is Shaking Things Up

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

Eljano Hysaj raised to 1,300 from mid-position and was called by Johannes Schulze in the cutoff and Daniel Montagnolli in the big blind.

The flop came {3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, Montagnolli checked, Hysaj bet 1,600. Schulze raised to 4,000 and Montagnolli got out of their way.

"How much are you playing?" Hysaj asked Schulze. Schulze took his yellow 5,000-value chips out (they're hard to differentiate from the white 1,000-value chips with the lighting here in the casino) and started counting them. While he was counting them, Hysaj gestured that it was fine.

Hysaj called.

The turn brought them the {2-Diamonds}, Hysaj checked, Schulze bet 6,000 without much hesitation. Hysaj looked at the board again and then at Schulze. Hysaj folded.

Small Pot for Wiencke; Registration Closed

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

Joining the action on the flop of {10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, Eric Theissen checked and called a bet of Maurice Wiencke in early position to see the {K-Hearts} appear on the turn. Again Theissen checked and Wiencke now made it 6,000 to go. That was good enough to win the pot right there while the registration officially closed.

PokerStars Team Online's Felix Schneiders arrived just after the cards were back in the air to check out the action at Casino Schenefeld and will be joining the action on Day 1c.

Kim Busts Karayvan In Spectacular Fashion

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante
De Han Kim
De Han Kim

De Han Kim and Vitaly Karayvan both cashed in the €2,200 High Roller yesterday and just clashed in a big pot. With some 17,700 in the middle and the turn showing {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}, Kim bet 8,000 from the small blind and Karayvan moved all in from the big blind. Both players had near identical stacks and Kim verified with the dealer that a re-entry is possible in the final starting day tomorrow.

He then held a hand in front of his eyes while pondering about his decision and grabbing his remaining chips. Without looking at the board, he slid them forward, not wanting to see the showdown, while the cards were tabled.

Vitaly Karayvan: {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
De Han Kim: {A-Spades}{3-Hearts}

The magical {3-Clubs} on the river gave Kim a full house and the stacks were counted, Kim had 27,350 and Karayvan was covered by a mere 50 chips to join the rail. "So that's how you get far in High Roller tournaments?" Andre Haneberg joked, sitting on the other side of the table. It was Haneberg that defeated Kim in heads up in the early morning hours and they may be back at it in the Main Event as well.

Bloch Among the Biggest Stacks

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

On the tail end of a big pot between Sahin Elci and Jan Bloch, the former faced a bet of 16,000 and raised all in out of the small blind for 27,300 in total with the board showing {Q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds}. Whether or not Elci had already bet and moved in over the top remains uncertain, while Bloch needed some time for consideration before calling it off.

Elci showed {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} and Bloch chopped it up with the {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} to preserve his big stack.
