Ivan Leow Comes Over the Top

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Ivan Leow raised to 23,000 from early position, Jwahyoung Kim called from the small blind, and Sparrow Cheung called from the big blind.

The flop fell {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and action checked to Leow who bet 29,000. Kim check-raised to 80,000, Cheung folded, and Leow re-popped it to 190,000, sending Kim into the tank. After about a minute, Kim folded the {A-Clubs} face up. Leow said he'd bluffed, and Kim seemed skeptical.

"You can show my cards," Leow said to the dealer as he pointed towards the muck before the chips were pushed his way.

Jack Wu Eliminated in 20th Place (₩4,480,000)

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Jack Wu
Jack Wu

Justin Chan informed the PokerNews live reporting team moments ago that Jack Wu got his last 37,000 chips in the middle before the flop holding {A-}{8-} against Chan's {K-}{J-}. The {K-}{J-}{X-} flop gave Chan two pair, and although Wu hit his ace on the {A-} turn, the river was a brick and Chan took the pot to send Wu to the cage.

Chan and Janik Chop One

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Scott Janik opened to 22,000 from the hijack and Justin Chan called from the big blind.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and both players checked.

The turn brought the {J-Diamonds} and Chan bet 26,000. Janik shoved for about 80,000 and Chan called to put him at risk.

Chan: {J-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Janik: {J-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

Both players had flopped open-ended straight draws and paired their jacks on the turn, so a chop was guaranteed. The meaningless {Q-Diamonds} fell on the river and they split the pot.

Ko Takes From Zhu

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

With about 50,000 chips already in the pot on a flop of {J-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} Xingbiao Zhu checked from the big blind and Yuki Ko bet 20,000 from the button. Zhu called.

The turn brought the {5-Hearts} and Zhu checked. Ko bet again, 70,000 this time, and Zhu called.

The river was the {K-Diamonds} and Zhu checked once more. Ko bet 110,000 and Zhu called. Ko showed {K-Hearts}{10-Spades} for a rivered pair of kings and it was good enough to win the pot.

Takumi Samejima Eliminated in 22nd Place (₩4,060,000)

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Takumi Samejima
Takumi Samejima

With about 50,000 chips already in the middle on a flop of {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, Takumi Samejima was under the gun and heads-up with Scott Janik in the big blind. Samejima had already committed 20,000 chips and was facing a decision for a total of 45,000 from Janik. After some thought, Samejima reraised to 135,000. Janik took a few moments before he shoved for about 500,000, putting Samejima to a decision for his stack of approximately 400,000. Samejima called fairly quickly and the two players tabled their hands.

Janik: {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Samejima: {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

Samejima had flopped aces up but was way behind Janik's flopped set of jacks and needed an ace in order to preserve his tournament life. The {8-Hearts} turn gave both players boats but Janik's was bigger and Samejima still needed help with one card to come. The {2-Diamonds} river changed nothing and Janik took the massive pot to send Samejima to the cage.

Yutaro Sukegawa Eliminated in 23rd Place (₩4,060,000)

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Yutaro Sukegawa opened for 18,000 in the cutoff and was called by the small blind. Scott Janik popped it up to 83,000 in the big blind. Sukegawa shoved all in for 348,000. The small blind folded, and Janik got the count, took about a minute, and then called.

Janik: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Sukegawa: {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}

Janik had Sukegawa dominated, but the {4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop added to Sukegawa's equity by giving him a gutshot. The turn was a {2-Spades} though, and the river a harmless {q-Spades}. Janik had Sukegawa covered by just 20,000 or so.
