Just a Typical Four-Way All In

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante
Emmett Davis
Emmett Davis

Table nine is among those in the main area, but quite difficult to reach towards the back near the big movie poster wall. Suddenly, there was a big uproar and several people stood up from their tables, with an apparent four-way all in going on.

According to Alexios Zervos on the same table, Raphael Rene Khalili had raised to 2,000 from under the gun and Martin Hogarty called. Michael Brown three-bet to 8,000 and Emmett Davis moved all in from the big blind. All other players behind moved in as well and the cards were turned over.

Raphael Rene Khalili: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Martin Hogarty: {10-}{10-}
Emmett Davis: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}
Michael Brown: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}

Brown had the biggest stack of all players involved and was looking to eliminate three opponents. On the {7-Clubs}{2-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop nothing changed, but Hogarty suddenly took the lead on the {10-Diamonds} turn. However, the next twist to the story was the {Q-Diamonds} river that gave Davis the best hand and he knocked out two opponents!

A Gift for Souaid

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

After four players including Karim Souaid limped, it was up to Vamshi Vandanapu on the button and he simply moved all in for 24,200. The other players folded and Souaid called to put his opponent at risk. There were some gasps at the table when Vandanapu flashed {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and Souaid had the {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}.

The board came {K-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{J-Spades}{2-Spades} and Souaid bumped his stack up nicely.

Akindele Deadman and Lucarotti Eliminated

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

Ludovic Geilich was among the late alternates to get their seat and grabbed the spot where Shola Akindele Deadman had been sitting.

Next to the bar, John Lucarotti was just all in for around 18,000 from the button and Shantanu Banerji in the small blind looked him up with {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. Lucarotti only had {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} and saw the flop come {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}. On the {10-Spades} turn, Lucarotti asked for a jack or ten, thinking of a possible split pot, and sat back down relieved when the {J-Clubs} came on the river.

Only then he noticed the fatal mistake and bowed out.

The Kassouf Effect

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante
Will Kassouf
Will Kassouf

Louis Vial bet 2,800 on the turn of a board reading {10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} which got one fold but William Kassouf in the small blind called.

The river was the {9-Diamonds} and Kassouf riffled his chips and without saying a word bet 7,000. Vial, looking like he hated it, sighed and called.

Kassouf showed {j-Clubs}{10-Spades} for the straight.

Vial mucked and grabbed his cost to get some fresh air for a while to clear his head.

Liv Boeree Jams Turn

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

PokerStars Team Pro Liv Boeree was in the cut-off in a pot against big blind Yannick Michel.

There was 20,000 in the pot on the turn of a board reading {7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{6-Spades}{7-Spades} and Michel checked it over to Boeree who sat in contemplation for a short while before moving all in for an approximately pot sized bet.

It was Michel’s turn to think. He took rather longer and in the end it was a rather dejected fold to give Boeree the pot.

Gordon Busts in Two Hands

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

Chris Gordon from under the gun and Abraham Passet in the big blind clashed and both players were very short. Passet was at risk for 8,700 with the {A-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Gordon had that beat with {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. The board came {K-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Passet found his ace to double.

Gordon was forced all in from the big blind in the next hand and Attila Farkas limped. Giulio Mascolo raised to 2,300 and the action folded back to Farkas, who pushed all in. Mascolo folded and Gordon flipped over {10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. Farkas had {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and Gordon was drawing dead by the turn of a board {K-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}.

Kassouf From Early Position

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

William Kassouf opened from early position for 1,400 and picked up one caller in Louis Vial in the big blind.

The flop was {10-Spades}{j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Vial check-called a 1,200 bet from Kassouf. They both checked the turn {a-Diamonds} and on the river {q-Clubs} Vial check-called a 3,700 bet from Kassouf.

Kassouf was a little reluctant to reveal both his cards but with some help from the dealer he showed {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts} which made a straight. Vial had the same hand with his {q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}.

Mascolo Doubles With Aces

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

Giulio Mascolo was all in and at risk for his last 10,000 from under the gun and the small blind looked him up. When the cards were tabled, the opponents at the table let out some gasps. Mascolo had the {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}. The small blind only had {5-Spades}{5-Clubs} and joked "five on the river," before seeing the board run out {10-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. Close enough, but no suckout this time around to put Mascolo back into contention.
