Fernando Morhy Successfully Multi-Tabling

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Fernando Morhy is nursing a short stack in this tournament at the moment, but he has been multi-tabling for most of the day, and rather successfully. Moments ago, he won the $200 buy-in pot-limit Omaha side event for just under $3,000, and now he's taken his seat in this tournament once more to try to run up a stack before players bag chips for the evening at the conclusion of the next level.

Betancor Gets the Better of Belluscio

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

After two limps, Pedro Betancor raised to 3,400 from the cutoff. He was called by the player on the button as well as Julio Belluscio who had limped into the pot.

The three players saw a flop of {K-Spades}{J-Spades}{2-Hearts} where action checked around to the button who bet 5,000. Bellucio called the bet before Betancor moved all in for 11,400 more. The player on the button folded. Belluscio thought for a long time, nearly two minutes. He picked up and looked at his cards several times, even flicked them a few times, before he finally let his hand go and allowed Betancor to take down the pot without showdown.

Korn Left With Crumbs

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Andres Korn
Andres Korn

We didn't catch the preflop action but Andres Korn had one opponent all in and he was holding {A-Clubs}{K-Spades} while his opponent help {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

The {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} put Korn in the lead with a pair and a flush draw. The {8-Spades} on the turn kept him in the lead, but the {10-Diamonds} on the river was one of the two outs his opponent was looking for and with that Andres Korn was left with just 9,000 in chips.

Trevillian Loses Some

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

With about 11,000 chips already in the middle and the board reading {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}, action checked to Brett Trevillian in early position and he bet 12,000. The player in the big blind called.

The {7-Hearts} fell on the river and the big blind checked. Trevillian checked behind in fairly short order and the big blind flipped over {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} for top two pair. Trevillian mucked and the big blind took the chips.
