Johnson Doubles Through Berkey

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Rodger Johnson
Rodger Johnson

Matt Berkey opened to 4,000 from an early position and Adria Diaz three-bet to 11,000 in the cutoff. Rodger Johnson called in the small blind and Berkey waved to check the stack sizes of both opponents to then reraise to around 120,000. That covered both opponents and Diaz snap-folded, while Johnson instantly called all-in.

Rodger Johnson: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Matt Berkey: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop gave Berkey an additional gutshot but Johnson prevailed with the {k-Spades} turn and {10-Hearts} river.

More Chip Counts

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Platinum Pass Winner Puts Botez in Check

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Platinum Pass winner Ignacio Benitez open-jammed a short-stack from the cutoff and Alexandra Botez tanked on the button before announcing a call with a slightly bigger stack, getting a quick fold from both the blinds.

Ignacio Benitez: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Alexandra Botez: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Benitez stayed ahead with ace-high as the board ran out {4-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} to secure a double up and leave the popular chess streamer with a short stack of 11,500.

Serrano Knocked Out by Pizzari Pinto

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Philipe Pizzari Pinto raised to 4,500 and quickly called the shove by the table short stack Oscar Serrano out of the blinds for just 13,500.

Oscar Serrano: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Philipe Pizzari Pinto: {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

The {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop left Serrano on the ropes and he found no miracle escape on the {2-Diamonds} turn nor {8-Spades} river.

Greenwood Runs into Aces

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Luc Greenwood three-bet all in from the button and was snap-called by Eric Worre.

Lus Greenwood: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Eric Worre: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

Greenwood was in bad shape to begin the hand, with Worre improving on the {a-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop. The {q-Hearts} turn and {k-Spades} river were no consolation for Greenwood, as Worre earned the knockout.

Arieh Loses Some; Wins Some

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Josh Arieh
Josh Arieh

On the tail end of a heads-up pot between Xuan Liu in the small blind and Josh Arieh in the cutoff, the former bet the {j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{j-Hearts}{8-Hearts} river for 27,000.

"I was gonna bet 27k on the river .... for value," Arieh sighed after he had reluctantly folded.

Shortly thereafter, Arieh tangled with Luis Fonseca as the latter checked the {8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} turn. Arieh bet big for 150,000 and that covered Fonseca's stack by a wide margin. The Brazilian folded and was shown the {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for a bluff.

Adams Wins Raise Battle

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Ryan Riske raised in early position and was called by Timothy Adams in the small blind and KC Carlston in the big.

All three players checked the {7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop before Adams led out for 4,000 on the {4-Spades} turn. Carlston raised to 15,000 and Riske folded, putting the action back on Adams.

Adams took some time before sliding in a re-raise to 38,000. Carlston considered his move for a couple of minutes before making the fold, as Adams raked in the pot.

Ace-High is Good

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

There was 33,000 in the pot before the flop. Pedro Gusmao was in early position against Platinum Pass winner Marius Irimia in the big blind.

Action checked through on the {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop.

The turn came the {6-Hearts} and Irimia check-called the 11,000 bet from Gusmao.

It went check-check as the river came the {6-Clubs}. Irimia showed {a-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for two pair with the ace-kicker to take down the pot as Gusmao mucked.
