Michel Dattani was crowned the champion of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $10,300 Main Event last night after defeating compatriot Pedro Neves in heads-up play. The tournament saw a total of 889 entries and attracted a host of the world's best players, who battled it out for the lion's share of the $8,623,300 prize pool. Dattani locked up $1,316,963 while Neves banked $1,183,037 after the two players agreed to an ICM deal.
The players are now on their scheduled 22-minute break and will return to action shortly.
Late registration also ends at the end of this break, and so far 509 players remain from a field of 1,013 entries.
Here are some of the highlights from the first two levels of the day:

Alexandra Botez was all in for the last of her short stack in a three-bet pot against Ignacio Benitez and Thomas Eychenne.

Botez had been out-flopped but she picked up some outs with a straight draw on the turn. Nonetheless, the 
river bricked off and Eychenne scooped the pot as the popular chess streamer was eliminated, while Benitez revealed he had folded the best hand.
Elias Gutierrez raised to 4,000 from early position and the action folded around to Patrick Chambers in the big blind, who three-bet to 12,000. Gutierrez called to see the 
flop.
Chambers led out for 11,000 before Gutierrez moved all-in for 59,500. Chambers called and the hands were turned up.
