Marques Hero Calls to Eliminate Fernandez

Level 14 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

There was around 70,000 in the pot. Andre Marques was on the button against Sandro Fernandez.

The board read {6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Fernandez moved all in for 100,000. Marques went into the tank become slamming in chips in the middle to make the call. Fernandez sighed and got out his seat as he tabled {q-Spades}{10-Hearts} for queen high while Marques tabled {a-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for second pair to eliminate Fernandez from the tournament late in the day.

Too Many Outs for Marquez

Level 14 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Ana Marquez
Ana Marquez

Ana Marquez moved all in under-the-gun for 45,000 and was called by Clement Eloy, putting her at risk.

Ana Marquez: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Clement Eloy: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Marquez was behind going into this matchup, but the flop of {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} was favorable as it gave her the nut flush draw.

Unfortunately for her, the runout of {8-Spades}{q-Diamonds} did not save her and she was eliminated.

Liberto Gets Some Value From Fox

Level 14 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Three ways to the {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop, Martin Zamani in the big blind and initial raiser Justin Liberto in early position checked. Elio Fox bet 10,000 in the cutoff and Zamani called. Liberto then check-raised to 38,000 and he was called by Fox only.

On the {a-Spades} turn, Liberto's bet worth 23,000 was called once more and both then checked the {5-Hearts} on the river. Liberto tabled the {6-Spades}{6-Clubs} for a set and Fox sent his cards into the muck.

Simmons Doesn't Have a Chance Against Krpan

Level 14 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

The cards were already on their backs with two players at risk versus Chance Kornuth. That happened to be Sam Simmons and John Krpan, the latter of which was the bigger stack for 113,000.

Sam Simmons: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
John Krpan: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Chance Kornuth: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The {k-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop left Simmons in desperate shape and he was drawing dead on the {9-Hearts} turn, which also locked up the entire pot for Krpan as Kornuth had no more equity. A meaningless {a-Clubs} fell on the river and Kornuth's larger stack was dented.

"You Guys are Cute"

Level 14 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Tony Tran raised it up from the hijack and Maxime Petitprez just called from the small blind. The two of them have them battling all day and engaging in some table banter and they were heads-up once again.

The flop came {8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Petitprez check-called a bet of 10,000 from Tran. The turn brought the {9-Hearts} and Petitprez check-called another bet of 21,000.

The {9-Diamonds} hit the river and Petitprez check-called one more street of 45,000. Tran flipped over {6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} for a missed straight draw which got a head nod from Petitprez before he tabled his {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}.

"You guys are cute," Ema Zajmovic chimed in as the two players exchanged some words again.

Perouse Hits a Gutterball to Double Through Menzel

Level 14 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Julien Perouse got all in preflop holding {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} with action from Max Menzel, who held {q-Spades}{8-Spades}. Perouse was ahead until the flop fell {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}, giving Menzel a pair of eights and the lead.

The {10-Spades} turn gave Perouse more outs with a gutshot to Broadway in addition to the aces and jacks. Sure enough, the {q-Hearts} made an appearance on the river to complete the straight and double-up for Perouse.

Little, Greenwood Hit the Rail

Level 14 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Jonathan Little
Jonathan Little

Jonathan Little raised from under the gun and called off the rest of his stack once Philipe Pizzari raised. The hands were turned up and Little needed lots of help.

Jonathan Little: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Philipe Pizzari: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The {q-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop left Little in bad shape, with the {10-Clubs} turn and {3-Diamonds} river sealing his fate. Little wished the table good luck on his way to the rail.

At a nearby table, Sam Greenwood got his short stack in with {a-}{q-} against {a-Hearts}{k-Spades} and could not catch up on the {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} runout to end his tournament run.
