Schoch Picks Off Khait's Bluff

Level 2 : 75/150, 25 ante

On a board of {7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{8-Hearts} with roughly 4,500 in the middle, Aaron Schoch checked over to Anna Khait on the button.

Khait bet out 2,700, and after about 30 seconds of deliberation, Schoch called.

Khait tabled her {Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for a busted straight draw and just queen-high. However it would be Schoch's {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for ace-high that would see him pushed the pot.

Wolpert's Set No Good Against Ball's Straight

Level 2 : 75/150, 25 ante

Leo Wolpert made a quick exit from the tournament area.

On closer inspection of his table, the board of {Q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{7-Clubs} was spread with Wolpert's {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for bottom set the loser against Scott Ball's {A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}.

It was a battle of the blinds, and when the money went in on the turn, Wolpert was unable to find a repeat pair on the river and was consequently sent to the rail as Ball moved to 46,000 in chips.

Brecher Runs Into Trips

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Six players limped in, and on a {8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop, Leon Khochayan bet out 600 with only Steve Brecher calling from the cutoff.

The turn landed the {7-Clubs} and Khochayan continued for 1,000 with Brecher again calling as the {Q-Spades} completed the board on the river.

Khochayan bet 2,500 and Brecher called.

Khochayan tabled his {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for flopped trips and Brecher mucked.
