Pham Connects for a Stack

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Steve Pham opened to 900 under the gun and was three-bet to 2,100 by a player two seats to his left. Action folded back to him and he called.

The flop fell {9-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Pham checked. His opponent overbet-jammed for 14,100, and Pham looked back at his cards before grabbing three pink T-5,000 chips and placing them onto the felt for a call.

All-In Player: {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Pham: {a-Spades}{5-Spades}

Pham had 11 outs to improve, one of which came on the turn {a-Diamonds} to leave his opponent with one shot at a two outer to stay alive, and a lady was nowhere to be found on the river {8-Diamonds}.

Smith "Bluffs a Guy"

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante

There was over 5,000 in the middle on a board reading {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} with heads-up action between John Smith in the hijack and an opponent in the small blind.

The small blind checked and Smith bet 3,500, receiving a call to bring the river {7-Diamonds} on board. The small blind checked again and Smith bet another 7,000. The small blind thought for over half a minute and let his hand go, resulting in the dealer shipping the pot to Smith.

As the pot sat uncollected in front of Smith, he pulled out his phone and spoke into it: "Just bluffed a guy for half my stack!"

"What was that?" asked the opponent from across the table.

"Talk to text," responded Smith.

Howard Gets a Triple

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante

An early-position player and Mo Nuwwarah, who was on the button, each had 2,200 in front of them and were faced with an all-in raise from Taylor Howard in the small blind for 4,500. Both players called the jam and then checked through to showdown on {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{9-Spades}.

Howard stated that his hand was best if neither player had an ace, tabling {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}. Nuwwarah turned over one card that showed paint before turning it back over and mucking it, while the player in early position showed {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. With the triple, Howard is up to over 13,000.
