Howard Exits

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

PokerNews didn't catch it, but was informed by Taylor Howard on his bustout hand.

The flop was {6-}{7-}{j-} and Howard bet 3,000 and was called by his opponent.

The turn came a {9-} and Howard checked to his opponent who bet 11,000. Howard then ripped it all in for around 50,000 but was quickly called, which put him at risk.

Taylor Howard: {q-}{10-}
Opponent: {j-}{9-}

Although he was behind his opponent who already had top two-pair, Howard could still hit an eight or a king for a straight, but the river {2-} was a complete brick and he was eliminated from the tournament.

Stanford Shows the Stuff

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Cody Stanford
Cody Stanford

Cato Lower opened to 3,500 under-the-gun and was called by two players before it got to Cody Stanford in the cutoff who then bumped it up to 15,000.

Lower ended up making the call while the rest of the players got out of the way and the flop came {10-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{j-Clubs}.

Lower checked to Stanford who continued for 11,000 and Lower called to see the {7-Spades} turn.

Checked to him again, Stanford bet once more, this time for 24,000. Lower thought for a few moments before making the call, which swelled the pot to over 100,000.

The river fell the {a-Spades} and Lower again checked to Stanford, who then fired a third barrel of 35,000,leaving himself with around 30,000 behind.

Lower looked visibly frustrated as he stood up to get a closer look at the board and contemplate his decision. He then quickly mucked his cards and then Stanford was nice enough to show him the goods of {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a whopping king-high as he was pushed the substantial pot.

CLub GG Qualifier Kehia Eliminated in Brutal Cooler

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Dustin Kehia
Dustin Kehia

Pokernews missed the hand but was filled in by the table after the fact.

Mark Feinberg opened under-the-gun to 3,000 and found one call from Club GG qualifier Dustin Kehia in the hijack.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-} and Feinberg continued for 4,500 and Kehia made the call to see the {j-Clubs} on the turn.

Feinberg then bet out 9,000 and Kehia called once more.

The river fell the {j-Spades} and Feinberg fired the third barrel, this time for 15,000. Kehia then moved all in for around 40,000 total and Feinberg snap-called, putting Kehia at risk.

Kehia tabled {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for a full house, nines full of jacks, but he was then shown {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} by Feinberg for a bigger full house, jacks full of aces.

Kehia was eliminated from the tournament while Feinberg scored a big double up.

Two Hands with Howard

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Taylor Howard
Taylor Howard

On a completed board of {7-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{8-Spades}, Taylor Howard bet 20,000 from the big blind into the heads-up pot of around 25,000.

This bet sent his opponent, Jonathan Gonzalez, deep into the tank.

After a good while in thought, Gonzalez made the call but was then shown {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} by Howard for a rivered full house. Gonzalez mucked his hand and Howard was shipped the pot to boost his stack to over 100,000.

Unfortunately, Howard then lost 20,000 the very next hand when he ran his pocket jacks into pocket aces and could not improve.

Delasierra Binks Turn

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

On a three-way flop of {j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, Tavish Margers and Tom Woodard both checked to Miguel Delasierra, who then moved all in for 16,700.

Margers thought for a second before electing on a fold, but Woodard quickly made the call, putting Delasierra at risk.

Miguel Delasierra: {4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Tom Woodard: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Woodard was ahead with his ace-king high, but Delasierra had a flush draw and it took no time to hut as the {k-Diamonds} smacked on the turn to leave Woodard drawing dead. The board completed with a meaningless {4-Hearts} and Delasierra was pushed the pot for a double-up.
