Day 1d Ends as Yagura Burst Money Bubble

Level 15 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Takashi Yagura
Takashi Yagura

Takashi "Jaysol" Yagura moved all in preflop and was called by Rich Alsup, putting Yagura at risk on the bubble.

Takashi Yagura: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Rich Alsup: {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

With Alsup slightly ahead in this matchup, the flop came {j-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts} which was no help to Yagura, but the turn {10-Hearts} gave him an open-ended straight draw. The turn also brought in hearts, and Alsup was holding the ace of hearts to give him a flush draw.

The river fell the {k-Hearts} to pair Yagura's king but it also gave Alsup a flush to win the pot and eliminated Yagura on the stone bubble of this event. Yagura, a poker vlogger, was a good sport about it and exited with dignity and thanked everyone for the experience.

Alsup Gets There From Behind

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Short-stacked Rich Alsup moved all in preflop and was called by Lena Evans, putting him at risk.

Rich Alsup: {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Lena Evans: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

Evans was ahead going into the matchup, but the flop of {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{9-Clubs} put Alsup in the lead with his two pair, and the runout of {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} kept him there and he was awarded a double-up for his efforts.

Para Knocks out Madruga

Level 13 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Preston McEwen opened to 8,000 in early position but was then raised to 51,000 when Mary Anne Madruga shoved all in.

After Rip Fritzer folded behind, the action was now on David Para.."How much do you have behind?" he asked of McEwen.

"Around seventy," McEwen replied, and with that Para moved all in for 200,000 to cover McEwen, which sent him into the tank.

After about a minute or so, McEwen sighed and tossed his cards into the muck and the other two tabled their cards, with Madruga at risk.

Mary Anne Madruga: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}
David Para: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Para was ahead with his pair of nines, and the board runout of {2-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} kept it that way and he was pushed the pot as Madrugal was eliminated.
