Bland's Hand Sends Opponent to Stands

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

After action limped around, the short-stacked player on the button open-shoved for his remaining stack of 13,500 and was called off by Anthony Bland under-the-gun.

Button Player: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Anthony Bland: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}

"Ok it's a flip," Bland said when he saw what he was up against.

The flop was favorable to Bland as it came {7-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{9-Hearts} to give him an open-ended straight draw to go with his pair and the turn {5-Clubs} gave him what he needed. His opponent could still hit a ten for a bigger straight, but the {a-Clubs} on the river didn't do it and the button player was eliminated as Bland was pushed the pot.

Pedro Forces Fold

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

On a heads-up turn of {q-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, Luis Pedro in the hijack bet out 12,000 and was called by Monte Hardinger in the cutoff.

The river came the {k-Diamonds} and Pedro then moved all in for 13,500, which sent Hardinger into the tank.

"Man I really want to call you," Hardinger admitted after a while, clearly conflicted about this decision.

After another minute or so, another player at the table called the clock and Hardinger was given a 30-second countdown.

When his count approached zero, Hardinger shook his head and threw his cards into the muck and Pedro was awarded the substantial pot of around 40,000.

Seem Hits Her Queen

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Vidhi Seem
Vidhi Seem

PokerNews missed the hand, but was informed by the table of what happened.

Before the flop, the player in late position opened to 1,200 and was called by Vidhi Seem in on the button. But then David Stoneburner three-bet to 6,400 from the small blind, which was called by both players.

The flop came {q-}{10-}{j-} ad Stoneburner checked to the late position, who then moved all in for 6,400. Seem then reshoved over the top for 15,400 and Stoneburner quickly called, covering both players.

Late Position: {a-}{a-}
Vidhi Seem: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
David Stoneburner: {k-}{k-}

Seem was way out in front with her top set of queens, but she wasn't out of the woods yet as her opponents could still hit a king or an ace for a straight.

Luckily for her, the board ran out clean with {6-}{2-} and Seem scooped the massive pot to triple up her stack to 60,000.

Eicher Doubles with Tens

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

After there was a raise to 1,000 and several callers, Noel Eicher moved all in from the small blind for his last 6,900.

The player in the hijack was the only one to make the call, putting Eicher at risk as the cards were tabled.

Noel Eicher: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Hijack Player: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Eicher started out ahead in this classic flip, and the board runout of {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} kept it that way and he scored a nice double-up.

Queens Take the Pot for O'Dwyer

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

On a heads-up flop of {5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, Steven O'Dwyer bet 1,300 and was check-called by Ivan Balanza.

The turn came the {5-Spades} and both players decided to check to the {3-Clubs} river.

Balanza then led out for 5,000 and was quickly called by O'Dwyer. Balanza tabled {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} for a pair of eights but O'Dwyer rolled over {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} for a pair of queens to win the pot.

Fitzer Scores Early Knockout

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

On a completed board of {5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{q-Clubs}, Rip Fitzer was faced with an all-in bet of 8,800 from his heads-up opponent.

After a few seconds of contemplation, Fitzer threw in the chips and made the call.

"Two-pair," Fitzer announced as he tabled {9-Spades}{10-Spades}. His opponent then shook his head and flipped over {k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a pair of fives. The chips were pushed Fitzer's way and the busted player exited the tournament area.
