Big Double for Lee

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Bernard Lee
Bernard Lee

PokerNews missed this big hand, but was filled in after the fact.

Bernard Lee opened from the cutoff to 1,400 and was called by both players in the blinds.

The flop came {a-}{a-}{6-} and the small blind checked to the big blind who bet 2,400. Lee then raised to 6,700 and the small blind got out of the way, but then the big blind re-raised all in for 28,000 total and Lee snap-called, putting himself at risk.

Bernard Lee: {a-}{j-}
Big Blind: {a-}{10-}

Lee had his opponent dominated with his superior kicker, and the runout of {5-}{4-} secured his victory for a big double-up.

Rodriguez Holds Against Fritzer

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

After a raise and a call preflop, Zak Rodriguez and Rip Fritzer went heads-up to a flop of {6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades}.

Rodriguez bet out first and was raised by Fritzer, but then Rodrigez moved all in and Fitzer called, putting himself at risk.

Rip Fritzer: {a-Spades}{9-Spades}
Zak Rodriguez: {4-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

"You called me with just a flush draw?!" Rodriguez exclaimed when he saw Fritzer's hand.

"I mean yeah, what am I supposed to do?" Fritzer replied.

The board was no help to Fritzer as the runout came {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Rodriguez won the pot with just a pair of fours as Fritzer was eliminated.

"What were you thinking, Rip? I had my headphones and sunglasses on, of course I had it!" Rodriguez teased his supposed long-time friend as he exited the tournament area.

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

On a three-way completed board of {a-Spades}{3-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{k-Hearts}, Noel Eicher bet 7,000 into the swelled pot of around 25,000.

One opponent folded to his bet, but then the action was on Ben Moon who was in the tank.

After around 30 seconds, he shrugged and made the call, but was then shown {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} by Eicher for top two-pair.

Moon mucked his cards and was left with only 2,300 as Eicher was shipped the big pot.

Moon then got it all in the very next hand with ace-three but ran into ace-eight and could not improve and was eliminated.
