Mariano Can't Survive Any Further

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
"Boston" Rob Mariano
"Boston" Rob Mariano

"Boston" Rob Mariano's day has ended unceremoniously in Level 5, despite doubling up versus Bob Mather, then again recently with aces against his opponent's deuces.

Shortly after that, Mariano four-bet shoved ace-jack from late position into the big blind who called him with pocket queens.

The board brought no help to the RunGood ambassador and his tournament torch was snuffed out.

Trevino Puts Second Bullet at Risk

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Cedrric Trevino
Cedrric Trevino

Cedrric Trevino's second bullet of the day was at risk as he put his last 9,600 into the middle from the small blind on a {9-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{q-Hearts} board with just over 22,000 in the pot.

His opponent in the big blind contemplated but ultimately folded as Trevino got his stack back near its starting point, showing his {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for an open-ended straight draw that turned into a rivered two pair as the pot was pushed his way.

"Boston Rob" Doubles Through #MoreBob; Gavin-Mather Eliminated

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
"Boston" Rob Mariano
"Boston" Rob Mariano

After a short-stacked Rob Mariano moved all in for his last 4,000 from late position, he was called by Bob Mather, who won the RunGood PLO event Friday.

Rob Mariano: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Bob Mather: {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, giving Mather a pair and an open-ended straight draw.

The {6-Clubs} on the turn eliminated fours from Mather's outs, which was good for Mariano, as the river brought the {4-Diamonds}, giving Mather his two pair, fives and fours, but Mariano's aces and sixes gave him the much-needed double-up.

Meanwhile, Mather's better half, Lexy Gavin-Mather was recently eliminated from the tournament. She'll have the opportunity to fire another bullet Sunday in Day 1b.
