Ten-High Good?

Level 13 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

On a heads-up flop of {2-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{5-Clubs}, Terry Hawkins bet 15,000 after the action was checked to him, but then Charles Johnson put in a check-raise to 35,000.

Hawkins made the call and the two went to then turn, which came the {j-Diamonds}.

Johnson fired again for 40,000 and after a brief pause, Hawkins slid in the call to see the {q-Spades} land on the river.

This time Johnson decided to check and Hawkins quickly checked back.

"Man I missed, you're good," Johnson admitted, but Hawkins still hadn't flipped over his cards as he was waiting for Johnson to do so first. Johnson then flipped over {10-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for ten high and to his surprise Hawkins flipped over {8-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for nine high!

"Wow ten-high wins!? Now THAT"S running GOOD!" Johnson exclaimed as he was pushed the large pile of chips to boost his stack to around 350,000.

Godfrey Makes the News

Level 12 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

After just doubling up the previous hand, Edward Leahy moved all in again and was called by Justin Godfrey, putting Leahy at risk.

I really don't have that great of hand, I only called because PokerNews is watching," Godfrey said as the cards were tabled.

Edward Leahy: {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}
Justin Godfrey: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Although Leahy was ahead, he didn't seem to like what he was up against, and the flop of {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} was of no help as it paired Godfrey's nine to take the lead. The turn {a-Hearts} further improved him to two-pair and the river {10-Spades} sealed Leahy's fate as he was eliminated. Meanwhile, Godfrey was just as happy about winning the pot as he was about it being recorded.

Johnson Takes Down Massive Hand During the Break

Level 12 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Stretching well into the break, a massive pot was unfolding between Charles Johnson and Zhuo Liu.

The board on the river read {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and there was already over 100,000 in the pot when Johnson moved all in for an additional 175,000, which sent Liu deep into the tank.

"I want to hero call just because its you," Liu said after several minutes of painful deliberation.

Another minute went by and Liu eventually tossed in his cards accompanied with a table tap and "nice hand".

"Man you shoulda done it!" Johnson exclaimed as he flipped over {6-Clubs}{6-Spades} for just a pair of sixes, to which Liu said nothing as he stepped away from the table to finish off the break. Meanwhile Johnson raked in the huge pot to boost his chip stack to almost 300,000.

It's Miller Time

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

After some back and forth, Michael Miller moved all in and Bart Bogard made the call, putting Miller at risk.

Michael Miller: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Bart Bogard: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

Bogard was a big favorite going into this matchup, and it stayed that way through the turn {5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{a-Clubs}, but the table groaned as the {10-Diamonds} on the river was brutal as it gave Miller a set to defeat Bogart's jacks.

Loyd Knocks Out Lee

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Mike Chilton opened to 8,000 under-the-gun but then Hyun Lee moved all in from the button for around 40,000 and then small blind Ricky Loyd shoved over the top for close to 100,000.

Chilton thought about it for several moments before he finally decided to lay it down and the cards were tabled, with Lee at risk.

Hyun Lee: {a-Clubs}{5-Hearts}
Ricky Loyd: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

The board ran out {2-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades} so give Loyd the victory with his nines and Lee was sent to the rail.

Babb Doubles; Johnson Exits

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

After a quick betting war, Mark Johnson and Chris Babb found themselves all in preflop, with Babb at risk.

Chris Babb: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Mark Johnson: [kckqc]

Babb was the favorite going into this duel, and the board of {6-Spades}{j-Spades}{j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{9-Spades} locked it up for him and he scored a big double-up.

Johnson was then left with a single big blind and busted the following hand when his {q-Spades}{5-Clubs} failed to beat his opponent's {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}.
