Wilkerson Claims Two Victims

Mayo Gets Sticky

Brandon Mayo limped in on the button which invited the small blind to come along. The big blind raised to 19,000 and only Mayo called. The flop came 10♣9♠7♠ and the big blind continued with a bet of 22,000 which Mayo called.

The 8♥ landed on the turn and the big blind sized down with a bet of 20,000. Mayo still called and the 2♥ completed the board. The big blind fired out another bet of 20,000 and Mayo quickly called. Mayo flipped over his 8♠8♦ for a set of eights and his opponent couldn't beat it.

Confessore Triples, Durr Takes a Small Hit

Nick Confessore was down to just 31,000 chips and shoved all in from under the gun. Brian Durr called ono the button and the big blind also stuck in the last of his 27,000 chips.

The flop came K♥3♣2♠ and Confessore took the lead with a pair of kings. The 7♥ and 4♣ runout changed nothing, giving a near triple up to Confessore. Despite the small hit to his stack, Durr still remains the clear chip leader as the bubble is approaching.

Burke Bests Cooper Twice

Jonathan Cooper raised to 7,000 on the button and Tyler Burke called in the small blind. The flop came K♥J♥4♠ and Burke checked to Cooper who bet 11,000. Burke check-raised to 25,000 and got a quick fold from Cooper.

On the next hand, the two players were back at it on a board of 10♠7♠2♦9♥. Cooper fired out a bet of 20,000 on the turn into a pot of around 60,000. Burke called and the 6♠ peeled off on the river.

Cooper moved all in and Burke snapped off his stack of around 45,000. Cooper flipped over A♠7♦ for a pair of sevens while Burke held Q♠J♠ for a rivered flush.

After an early limp, Michael Esquivel raised to 10,000 in the hijack. The big blind called along with the early limper. The flop fell A♣K♦4♥ and the big blind shoved all ing for his last 17,500. It folded to Esquivel who quickly dropped in the chips to call.

The big blind turned his cards over and started leaving the table before Esquivel even tabled his cards. A quick glance back and he kept walking after seeing that he was nearly drawing dead. The 6♥ on the turn confirmed his fate as the K♣ on the river improved Esquivel to a full house.
