Rodney Turvin raised to 2,400 in middle position and Caleb Powell called in the cutoff, as did another opponent in the big blind.
Turvin continued for 3,300 on the 8♣8♠6♦ flop, and only Powell called. Turvin then bet 15,000 on the 5♠ turn, and Powell again called.
The river was the 2♥ and Turvin bet 47,500. Powell quickly called, and Turvin showed 9♦7♦ for a straight to win the big pot.
"Did you have an eight? You had to have an eight," Turvin said to Powell.
"You just got 50K on the river. You want to see my hand, too?" Powell replied.
