"Poker is Brutal"; Curri Coolers Adkins For a Massive Double
Level 18
: Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
With around 100,000 in the pot on a flop of 5♣Q♣7♥9♦, Sokol Curri bet 55,000 from the cutoff and Josh Adkins raised to 130,000 on the button. Curri then moved all in for 723,000, and Adkins called.
Adkins turned over 9♣9♠ for a set, but Curri had turned a straight with 8♦6♥. The river was the 2♦, and Curri earned the massive double up that moved him into the chip lead.
"Poker is brutal," Adkins lamented as he handed over most of his stack.
