Powell Slows Down Etheridge With Aces

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Caleb Powell and Sean Etheridge tangled in yet another pot as Etheridge bet 7,000 from the cutoff on a flop of 10♣6♥6♦. Powell called in middle position.

Etheridge then bet 14,000 on the 2♦ turn, and Powell called. The river was the K♥ and Etheridge moved all in. Powell snap-called for 8,000 and turned over A♥A♦, while Etheridge mucked A♠7♠ as he handed over the double up.

"Easy Game" For Etheridge

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Michael Hunsucker bet 1,100 from under the gun on a flop of K♣A♦7♦ before Caleb Powell raised to 4,500 in the cutoff. Sean Etheridge called in the small blind, while Hunsucker got out of the way.

The turn was the J♥ and Etheridge led out for 11,000. Powell snap-folded. "Easy game," Etheridge said as he flashed the J♦ while taking in the pot. Etheridge has nearly tripled his starting stack so far through less than two levels.

Raio Sits Down to a Monster

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Three players went to the turn on a board of 10♥J♥K♦8♦ when Nick Raio bet 2,600 from early position. The big blind called, as did another opponent under the gun.

The river was the 10♠ and the big blind bet 13,500. The under-the-gun player took a minute before calling, while Raio also went into the tank until also putting in the chips to call.

"I missed," the big blind said as he turned over 9♥8♥, while Raio had A♥Q♦ for a flopped straight to win the big pot.

"I thought we were chopping. Showed up an hour late, first hand I played," Raio said.

Hunsucker Doubles Amid Controversy

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Michael Hunsucker bet 1,400 from under the gun on a flop of 9♠Q♣J♣ before an opponent raised to 4,400 in the small blind. Hunsucker called, and the 8♦ fell on the turn.

The small blind then grabbed a stack of chips and lifted them above the table. Hunsucker instantly tossed in his last 12,500, but his opponent then took back his chips and claimed he hadn't bet. A tournament official was called over, and it was ruled the small blind was allowed to check. Hunsucker's all-in bet stood, and his opponent eventually called with Q♠J♦ for two pair. Hunsucker, though, had 10♦8♥ for a straight.

The river was the 5♣, and Hunsucker doubled up. "I acted too fast," Hunsucker said as the two players brushed off the incident.

Greufe had J♠7♠ for straight and flush draws, while the at-risk player turned over K♣9♥ for two pair. The river was the A♠, and Greufe made his flush to win the pot and send his opponent to the rail.

"Chip leader, level 1," Greufe said as he raked in the pot.
