Action picked up on the river in a hand between the under-the-gun Christopher Caruso and George Karmires in the cutoff.
With the board reading 7♥J♥6♦A♠4♠, Caruso check-raised to 60,000 over Karmires' bet of 15,000. Karmires went into the tank, eventually calling the clock on himself.
As time counted down, Karmires ultimately found the fold with 4x4x for a set of fours, and was relieved to know that he made the right decision when Caruso showed 6♠6♣ for a set of sixes.

The under-the-gun player raised to 2,500 and was called by Nick Byrnes in the small blind and Hamid Izadi in the big blind.
The flop of 10♠7♠6♦ checked through to the 5♣ turn. It checked to Izadi, who bet 3,000, and only Byrnes called.
On the 8♠ river, Byrnes check-folded when Izadi bet 10,000 and the pot was pushed Izadi's way.

Yaser Al-Keliddar caught up with PokerNews to recount the hand that left him with just 100 chips.
According to Al-Keliddar, Ake Ngamsa raised to 2,300 in middle position and he three-bet to 7,000 in the cutoff with AxKx. Ngamsa called and the flop came AxKx2♣.
Ngamsa checked, he bet 6,000, Ngamsa raised to 15,000, and he called. The turn landed the 4♣ and Ngamsa check-called a bet of 17,000.
On the 9♣ river, Ngamsa moved all in for 36,000, and he called, having his opponent covered by just 100. Ngamsa turned over K♣Q♣ for the backdoor flush to scoop the pot.
Al-Keliddar was eliminated shortly after but may decide to reenter.
