Patrick Leonard Strikes Gold in the Sunday Supersonic

Patrick Leonard
Patrick Leonard

Few things in life are certain, but you can bet your bottom dollar that Patrick "pads1161" Leonard will capture at least one Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP) title each year.

Leonard kept up his annual tradition of becoming a SCOOP champion by coming out on top in the $530 buy-in edition of the Sunday Supersonic, a hyper-turbo structured event that saw 204 entrants create a $103,942 prize pool.

Benjamin "bencb789" Rolle was the last player to leave this event empty-handed, his 25th place finish coming with nothing but the unwanted title of bubble boy. Rolle's demise locked up at least $1,156 for the 24 surviving players.

Gavin "gavz101" Cochrane, Pedro "PaDiLhA SP" Padilha, Peter "Belabacsi" Traply, Kelvin "Kelvin_FP:AR" Kerber, and Dimitar "KuuL" Danchev were among those who saw a return on their $530 investments.

That $530 buy-in was worth at least $4,202 to the seven players who reached the final table. "Kobe843" of Lithuania collected this sum after finishing in seventh place.

Renan "Aziz.Mancha" Aziz, Germany's "HardiZ1," and "TigerFish111" busted to leave only three players in the hunt for the title. Those three became two when Costa Rica-based Dutchman Joris "BillLewinsky" Ruijs fell by the wayside.

Ruijs' exit left Leonard heads-up against Andorra's "SuspiciousCat," and there was only going to be one outcome: a Leonard victory. Leonard did eliminate his final opponent to bank $20,396 and the 11th SCOOP gong of what continues to be an incredible poker career.

Arsenii Karmatckii Captures Fourth SCOOP Victory

Arsenii Karmatckii
Arsenii Karmatckii

Slovenia-based Russian star, Arsenii "josef_shvejk" Karmatckii became a four-time SCOOP champion with a victory in the $530 buy-in edition of the Titans Event. Karmatckii left a trail of 273 foes in his wake as he marched on and grabbed the $26,150 top prize.

Dozens of established pros were among the 274 entrants and, indeed, in the top 34 finishing places where the $137,000 prize pool was distributed. Niklas "Lena900" Astedt, Jerry "Perrymejsen" Odeen, Blaz "Scarmaker" Zerjav, and Brunno "botteonpoker" Botteon were among the in-the-money finishers, the latter falling in 11th place just shy of another SCOOP final table.

The final table was also a star-studded affair, housing such luminaries as Joao "Naza114" Vieira, Samuel "€urop€an" Vousden, and Boris "b.a.angelov" Angelov. However, it was Karmatckii who came out on top, defeating the United Kingdom's "Riverbanged" heads-up for the title and the lion's share of the prize pool.

Renan Bruschi Completes a 2026 SCOOP Hat Trick

Renan Bruschi
Renan Bruschi

Most poker players will end their careers without ever capturing a SCOOP title; Renan "Internett93o" Bruschi is not like most poker players. On March 8, Bruschi won his third title of the 2026 SCOOP and his 10th overall when he triumphed in the $5,200 Titans Event.

Sixty-three entrants created a $315,000 prize pool that the top nine finishers shared. Andras "probirs" Nemeth was the unfortunate bubble boy, busting in 10th place, and locking in almost $10,000 for the surviving players.

Niklas "Lena900" Astedt was the first player to bust inside the money place, his ninth-place finish earning him $9,820. In-form Alexandre "ReWARds84" Reard finished in eighth before "stek94," "hello_totti," and Malta-based grinder "Klopp4zeKop" joined the list of eliminated players.

Fourth-place and $35,725 went to Ilya "Leqenden" Anatsky, with Daniel "SmilleThHero" Smiljkovic crashing out in third. Andrey "Anjeyyy" Novak and Bruschi struck a deal when heads-up before Bruschi won the one-on-one battle to secure the 10th SCOOP title of his glistening career.
