SCOOP

Another busy day of action awaits at the 2026 Spring Championship of Online Poker, with a fresh batch of tournaments — alongside the Super Tuesday finales — kicking off on Wednesday.

The schedule begins with Deep Stacks events (SCOOP 59) across three buy-in tiers, including the $320 High event with a $100,000 guarantee. Shortly after, players can jump into Mystery Bounty PLO tournaments (SCOOP 60).

Later in the day, the popular Bounty Builder High Roller events (SCOOP 61) take center stage, topped by the $1,050 Super High Roller with a $150,000 guarantee. Mixed-game specialists also get their chance with the 6-Max Razz events (SCOOP 62).

The evening schedule features Progressive KO tournaments (SCOOP 63) before the nightly Daily Cooldown Mystery Bounty events (SCOOP 64) close out the day. Players looking for something different can also fire SCOOP 65, a $55 Turbo Heads-Up Progressive Total KO event with a $40,000 guarantee.

Ian Simpson

Ian "Simpioni" Simpson captured his first SCOOP title after winning SCOOP 53-M: $55 NLHE [Deep Stacks], topping a field of 2,394 entries to earn $17,592 from the $119,700 prize pool.

Simpson had to contend with a final table packed with Brazilian players but managed to navigate through the field before defeating "Tiumunin" heads-up to seal the win.

The timing could hardly be better. The Irish Open kicks off in just a couple of weeks, a tournament that holds special significance for Simpson.

Alexander Kostritsyn
Alexander Kostritsyn

The SCOOP 54-H: $2,100 PLO [6-Max, Progressive KO] drew 76 entries, building a $152,000 prize pool and attracting a stacked lineup of online Omaha specialists. When the tournament wrapped up, Alexander "joiso" Kostritsyn came out on top, defeating Ole "wizowizo" Schemion heads-up to claim $40,862 and his third career SCOOP title.

The event paid nine players, with seven making the final table. SCOOP regular "king153246" bubbled the tournament, while SCOOP champions "skattefar" and Gavin "gavz101" Cochrane exited before the final table began. The final stages featured a who's who of PLO crushers, including Andras "probirs" Nemeth (5th), Ognyan "cocojamb0" Dimov (4th), and Joni "bustoville" Jouhkimainen (3rd).

The victory was also notable as Kostritsyn’s first SCOOP title in PLO, with his previous two coming in NL 5-Card Draw and Razz.

Patrick Leonard Wins Third SCOOP of Series; Ian Simpson Also Among Tuesday Champions

Patrick Leonard
Patrick Leonard

Tuesday, March 11 delivered another busy day at the 2026 Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP), with 25 new champions crowned while the Super Tuesday events played through their Day 1 flights ahead of Wednesday’s finales.

One of the biggest stories of the day came from Patrick “pads1161” Leonard, who captured SCOOP 56-M: $215 FL 2-7 Triple Draw for $5,569. The win marked Leonard’s third title of the series and moved him joint-second on the all-time SCOOP titles list with 13.

Another familiar face in the winner’s circle was Andrey “Anjeyyy” Novak, who took down SCOOP 48-H: $1,050 NLHE Progressive KO Bounty Builder SHR for $38,367. It was Novak’s second title of the series, having already won the $1,050 Super Tuesday High Roller earlier in the festival.

Poker ambassador Ian “Simpioni” Simpson also grabbed a headline result, winning SCOOP 53-M: $55 NLHE Deep Stacks for $17,592. The victory arrives just weeks before the Irish Open, where Simpson famously won the Main Event in 2013.

Elsewhere, Alexander “joiso” Kostritsyn picked up his first SCOOP title since 2020 after winning SCOOP 54-H: $2,100 PLO Progressive KO for $40,862, while "Tapiscalle?" secured their second title of the series in SCOOP 50-H: $1,050 NLHE Single Re-Entry.

The rest of the day’s champions included "DanielNegroAno8", "KronoPP", "Perv.V7", "skattefar", "7jujuba7", "texasilainen", "DrawindDead", "RicoMinibAby", and "FollowTheBreath", among others, as nearly every winner on the day claimed a maiden SCOOP title.

PokerStars SCOOP Series Passes $1.5 Billion Milestone in Total Prizes

SCOOP 1.5bn
SCOOP 1.5bn

PokerStars’ Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) has officially surpassed $1.5 billion in total prizes awarded to players since its debut in 2009, confirming its place as one of the richest and most enduring online poker series in history.

The ever-popular SCOOP series has been a mainstay of the early-year poker calendar for decades, with the 2026 edition, offering $45 million in guarantees across 136 events, underway now and running until March 25th.

The 10-figure landmark was fittingly passed in a Sunday Million event, one of PokerStars' flagship tournaments, with player "nomalice" taking down Event 40-M: $109 NLHE [Progressive KO Sunday Million] ahead of a field of 8,017 to win $85,597 and move SCOOP beyond the $1.5 billion threshold.

The festival has consistently drawn huge fields of online grinders over its 17-year history, with tiered low, medium, and high buy-ins, as well as the chance to satellite into major events for as little as $0.55 a major attraction.

"king153246" Adds to Growing SCOOP Legacy With 6th Title

Jonathan "Proudflop" Proudfoot
Jonathan "Proudflop" Proudfoot

Albanian-based "king153246" added yet another SCOOP title on Monday, as the online grinder continued their remarkable strike rate across the SCOOP series.

"king153246" defeated a stacked final table in the SCOOP 52-H: $530 NLHE [Hyper-Turbo], $75K Gtd that included multiple SCOOP champions, including Jonathan "Proudflop" Proudfoot in 2nd, 11-time SCOOP winner Niklas "Lena900" Astedt in 4th, and fellow 11-time SCOOP champ Patrick "pads1161" Leonard in 5th.

But it was "king153246" that emerged victorious, topping the 137-entry field to claim $13,291.90 and yet another title for one of the most consistent regular grinders on the SCOOP circuit.
