Nedelcu Wins SCOOP Sunday Million for $150K & Repeat Winners Add to Tallies

Narcis Nedelcu
Narcis Nedelcu

Monday, March 16 delivered another busy day of action at the 2026 Spring Championship of Online Poker, with a host of winners crowned across formats, but one result stood above the rest.

Narcis “Narcisus90” Nedelcu was the headline act after taking down SCOOP 81-M: $530 NLHE [Sunday Million] for $150,167, the biggest score of the day. The victory secured Nedelcu his sixth career SCOOP title and, perhaps more importantly, saw him add the prestigious Sunday Million champion tag to his résumé.

There were also several familiar names back in the winner’s circle. Nilson “Cabeca Rush” Junior moved up to four career SCOOP titles with victory in the Sunday Kickoff, while Michael “merla888” Gathy added to his tally with a seventh career title in the Warm-Up High. In the Stud streets, "FAL1st" continued to climb the all-time list, now sitting on 11 career SCOOP titles.

Elsewhere, Leonardo “Leeeo9” Camara, Felipe “feldegani.ps” Degani, and Brandon “Tyrion2205” Sheils were among those to get their hands on a SCOOP trophy, while Patrick “JaegsPL” Lauber came out on top in the $530 PLO Turbo PKO.

A number of events also got underway and will play down to a winner today, including the $530 Deep Stacks (85-H) and a trio of Progressive KO events across Events 86 and 88. The standout among them is the $2,100 NLHE PKO (86-H), which drew 105 entries, while the $215 PKO (86-M) pulled in a strong 1,519-entry field.

"king153246" broke his own record on March 14 with a victory in the $530 NLHE Mystery Bounty High Roller. This latest first-place finish is the mystery Albanian's ninth in the space of two years!

Anatsky and Gathy Take Down Their Sixth SCOOP Events

Michael Gathy
Michael Gathy

Belarus' Ilya "Leqenden" Anatsky and Belgian ace Michael "merla888" Gathy both captured the sixth SCOOP titles of their careers on March 16. Anatsky came out on top of a 183-strong crowd in the $530 NLHE Deep Stack event, while Gathy won the $215 8-Game PKO.

Anatsky's victory ended a two-year wait for another SCOOP title. He had to contend with the likes of "Ansel21," "99dm84," "B00mslang," and third-place finisher "BillLewinsky" at the final table. His final opponent was "StehAufEdik" of Malta, whom he made short work of to reel in $18,151 of the $91,500 prize pool and SCOOP trophy number six.

Gathy also became a six-time SCOOP winner, with five of his victories coming in non-Hold'em events, including this one. Gathy's sixth win came in the $215 8-Game PKO, which earned him $5,102.

Gathy has a reputation as a fearless No-Limit Hold'em player. Indeed, all four of his World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets come from that format. However, during SCOOP, Gathy excels in mixed games. He has victories in a $215 and $2,100 FL Triple Draw 2-7, a $2,100 8-Game, a $1,050 HORSE, and now this $215 8-Game PKO.

Jerry Odeen Wins 14th SCOOP Event; Ties For No. 1 in All-Time List

Jerry Odeen
Jerry Odeen

Swedish superstar Jerry "Perrymejsen" Odeen has climbed to joint first-place in the SCOOP titles leaderboard after winning the $109 No-Limit Hold'em event for $18,285. That victory, his fourth of 2026, takes his tally to an incredible 14. Fellow Swede Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson also has 14 titles; nobody has more.

Odeen's first SCOOP win came in 2019. He won another in 2021, then two more in 2022. He finished top of the pile in one event in 2023, three times in 2024, and won another two in 2025. This year, Odeen has now won four events.

His latest victory saw him leave 1,137 opponents in his wake, including Tudor "tdr01" Lazar at the final table. Andrey "Premove" Skvortsov, who has 13 SCOOP wins, fell in fifth.

Eventually, Odeen battled heads-up with "iwillkillset" of Belarus, and there was only ever going to be one outcome: an Odeen victory. Odeen clinched the title and the $18,285 top prize. Can he become the first player to win 15 SCOOPs before the 2026 festival ends?
