More for Mazabow and Moodley

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

The completed board showed Q10863 and Alexandre Blanc pushed all-in against Ariel Mazabow. The latter called after some consideration and Blanc shook his head, then revealed the A5 for a bluff gone wrong. Mazabow had the A10 for a pair of tens to double.

Shortly after on the same table, four ways to the 743 flop it was Kiran Moodley who bet 10,500. Chris Luyt raised to 35,500 and it folded back to Moodley who pushed all-in. Luyt started some table chat and suspected a set on the other side of the table.

"Will you show?" Luyt asked after using a time bank and then folded. Moodley flashed the 77 for top set.

Bhojani Eliminated by Zulch

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Imran Bhojani
Imran Bhojani

Imran Bhojani had re-entered only a few minutes ago and lost a chunk of his stack right away. He then check-raised the A65 flop to 15,500 and Jayson Zulch reraised over the top. Bhojani sighed and called all-in for around 48,000.

Imran Bhojani: 43 All in
Jayson Zulch: 66

"Pair the board," Zulch requested and that wish was granted with the A on the river.

Bhojani was on his way out the very moment Ben arrived for his second bullet.

Assorted Counts in the Field

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

On a paired queen-high river, Damon Fine bet 26,000 and was called by William Henderson. "Ace high," Fine declared and showed his A5 which had missed the board. Henderson tabled his 99 for nines and sixes to scoop the pot.

Various other counts can be found below.

Two Chips for Mazabow

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

The big stack on his table not long ago, Ariel Mazabow now only has two T-25,000 chips at his disposal. In a multi-way pot to the A758K river, he bet for 10,500 and Paul Graham called in the next seat. Mazabow announced two pair and revealed the 85, but Graham had the best of it with K7 for kings and sevens.

Chetty Shows Zulch a Bluff

Level 7 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Jubal Chetty was among the more recent entries and just fired two barrels to force out Jayson Zulch, who dropped to a shorter stack. Multi ways to the A42 flop, only Zulch called Chetty's bet before the latter jammed the K turn. Zulch let go and was shown the Q10.

Wiechers Keeps Building

Level 7 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Nico Wiechers three-bet to 11,000 on the button and was called only by the initial raiser from under the gun. On the K104 flop, both players checked to the 6 on the turn. It was checked to Wiechers and his bet of 10,500 won the pot without resistance.

What the Frick is Happening Here?

Level 7 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Rudy Frick
Rudy Frick

Ashley Hira called over the blog team and alerted of a big pot on his table which had seen a setup hand unfold between Rudy Frick and Alexandre Blanc, worth three starting stacks. The cards and board was still showing on 9979A and Frick secured the double with J9 for quads.

"Are you still calling if there is no ace on the river?" Blanc was asked, who was not 100% certain. The aces he did have, though, as AA became a very expensive affair for the French player.

Sequeira is Not Folding

Level 7 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Ricardo Sequeira check-called a bet by Dirk Steenkamp on the 943 flop and the latter then sized up to 10 turn when he fired a bet of 35,000. Unfazed, Sequeira called and checked the repeat nine on the 9 river. Steenkamp sighed and said "you are not folding" before checking behind.

Sequeira tabled the A10 and that won the pot, much to the dismay of Steenkamp.
