In the fifth hand of the Day 1c bubble, Sachin Naidoo was all-in for 58,000 and received the call by Yoni Lipshitz.

Stephen Kurland got his last 55,000 into the middle on the Q♥J♦9♥ flop when BC Van Rooyen bet big and the following showdown emerged.

The open-ended straight draw of Kurland missed on the 5♦ turn and A♥ river and that knocked the field down to the last 16 players for the Day 1c bubble.
Nic Ioannoy vanished from the outer tables when he called all-in with A♠3♦. He was dominated by Yoni Lipshitz who remained ahead all the way.
At almost the same time on the feature table, Simon Solomon was all-in with 8♥8♠ via open shove for 145,000 against the Q♥Q♠ of Kevin Boyer. The French player had chipped up recently to pull ahead of Solomon and prevailed with the superior pocket pair on the J♦3♠2♥3♦A♠ board to reduce the field to the last 17 players.
BC Van Rooyen was all-in for only 54,000 with the 8♦8♥ and had the best of it against the 6♥6♠ of Franco Da Matta. The A♣J♣3♣9♠Q♣ board changed nothing as neither player had a club in the hand.
There are still 19 players remaining and 15 of them will advance to Day 2 and the money stages with the bubble set for the final two tables.

Chuck Levin three-bet jammed for 72,000 with the A♠Q♦ and Stephen Kurland looked him up with the A♦K♣. The dominated ace got there on the Q♥J♠7♠4♣9♥ board and Kurland lost a decent portion of his stack.
On the same table soon after, Michael Cupido was all-in for 46,000 and looked up by Ariel Mazabow.

The 10♣9♠5♥ flop saw Cupido ask for "any picture" but that request was denied throughout the 7♦ turn and 5♦ river.
Marc Foubib pushed his shorter stack on the K♣J♥4♣3♠ turn and was looked up by Tanith Rothman.

Both players had flopped a pair and Rothman stayed ahead on the 10♠ river to reduce the Day 1c field by one.
Keegan Naidoo put his hopes on the J♣9♣ and was up against Stephen Kurland with the Q♥Q♦. The 10♠9♦5♥4♠7♥ board only brought a pair of nines for Naidoo to end his run on Day 1c.
BC Van Rooyen got the short stack in with A♥10♠ and Michael Cupido aimed to score the knockout with the Q♣7♣. However, the 9♥5♣2♠J♠9♣ missed both and ace-high won the pot.
Hanre Retief was then all-in for 45,000 with J♠J♣ and Tanith Rothman looked him up with the inferior 7♠7♣. Neither player connected with the K♦10♣5♦6♠10♥ for Retief to survive as well.
Caleb October pushed all-in for 67,000 and Cliton Taliwanth did so for 140,000 in the hijack. Marko Nortje had an easy call out of the big blind with the following showdown unfolding.
